" Gardezi “ the great spiritual Family of Multan migrated to Pakistan, from Gardez in the Paktia province of Afghanistan in 1088 AD, Hazrat Shah Yousuf Gardezi was an Islamic saint and spiritual head of the family who came… riding into Multan on a lion, with a live snake as a whip in hand and a pair of pigeons fluttering over his head. He had traveled on his lion all the way from Gardez in Afghanistan to Multan. In Multan, he converted many people to Islam and performed numerous miracles. He was the first Muslim saint in the subcontinent and began preaching the teaching of the Twelve Imams, the grandsons of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad S.A.W., and spread Shi’ism which today is also the national religion of Iran. This tomb location is Multan Bohar Gate near Ghanta Ghur.
