I come from a future meta that has a 6 mana priest spell that says "Shuffle a minion into YOUR deck"

I really would like to know what blizzard was thinking when they made this card a six drop.

the point is it doesn't trigger death rattles or leave a taunt/1/1 beast behind... it is very rare but recycle is sometimes better than the others, very circumstantially but druid lacks removal and as a 1 of this can "work" I guess
Brett Goudy .sap does all that and better since the guy can top deck the card you recycled anyway.

What about upping Recycle to 7 or 8 and making it bounce the target and adjecent cards? Pretty strong removal, then.
Ideas for a Buff to Recycle:
A - Reduce Mana Cost from 6 to 5 (This means that it can be casted on lower cost minion without as much of a loss of Tempo. It also means that you can play more cards on the turn Recycle was used).
B - The Recycled minion is instead placed at the bottom of the opponents deck. (This basically invalidates the minion until the extreme lategame just before Fatigue hits. It also would get rid of those awkward moments where you Recycle a minion only for them to draw it next turn and then play it, effectively doing nothing).
C - Allow it to be cast on Ally minions as well (you may think that's useless, but the more uses a card has the more situations in can thrive in and thus, the better it becomes).
Recycle in my opinion, can shine. While these moments are rare, the best time to use it seems to be against extremely high costing minions, especially if they have Deathrattle (aka The Thaddius Duo, Sylvannas, Sneeds). Its main issue however is how expensive it is combined with it's lack of dependability. All Hard Removal spells other than this one GUARANTEES that the original minion is gone. Let's compare all of them real quick.
Hex: 3 Mana - Leaves a 0/1 Taunt (The "residue" as I'll call it can be problematic as wasting an attack to kill it can cause problems, this is why it's so cheap)
Polymorph: 4 Mana - Leaves 1/1 Sheep (A 1/1 can be ignored and even dealt with by the Mage's Hero Power)
Assassinate: 5 Mana - Completely Removes the Minion (No residue but is expensive and Deathrattles still activate)
Recycle: 6 Mana - Completely Removes the Minion, Places back in deck (No residue, ignores Deathrattle, however there is no guarantee that you won't have to deal with it again. Worst case scenario is that it comes back next turn. Best case is that it's at the bottom of the opponents deck).
It's the uncertainty factor that comes with Recycle that makes it so bad. Why invest in such an expensive card when it may not even deliver?
***** I'm not saying to have all of those Buffs. I'm saying you can take 1, or 2 or all 3. Just food for thought on how the card can be made better.
Would be op if the opponent has 5+ cards in his deck, warriors would get rekt if his ragnaros or gromish ends up not being playable before 5 turns, so I don't agree with your point. Recycle is an expensive sap, I guess its cost should be reduced to 4. However if it removed the card into the bottom half of the opponent's deck, ok I guess, but then it should cost 5.
I'd say reduce it to 4 mana, double the price of sap and less than assassinate, cause in now way should you have to pay more mana to put a card back in your opponents deck, than just plain removing it.
EksNiHil0 The "would be OP since now Grommash is at the bottom of your deck" doesn't seem to hold much weight. I mean that Rogue over there just Assassinated your Grommash for 5 mana, now you won't see him ever.
You highly underestimate the effectiveness of denying your opponent a draw, if recycle would always place the card on your opponents deck it would be like zap + your opponent does not draw the next turn, which is an outstanding tempo play, even more so, when you are ahead. Admitted, the card would be useless, when you are behind, but as is the card IS useless when you are behind, so that this card could be made to the ultimate "win more" card for druid, which can also be played, while being even, without much loss of value.
Recycle (6) : Shuffle an enemy minion into your opponent's deck
Change it too :
Recycle (5) : Shuffle a minion into your deck.
I like that (the 2nd one). Like a delayed Mind Control and you still have to spend the mana to play the card.
So an actively better Assassinate? It should be 5 mana because the upside to assassinate is stop death rattle, the downside is it is not permanent and no other change.
That's OP, maybe okay for 6 mana.
Recycle (5) : Shuffle a minion into your deck and it costs (2?3?4?...) more.
Still a removal but a bit less OP and it would mean that not always you would be able to re-use that card.

the way u want to change it, the card would be completely OP against any control deck for any less than (8) - less good than MC, but make the control warrior cry when u 'take' his rag, making his card into one more threat for him to deal with at a later time + really good for a fatigue style druid

Cool possibilities (Without reducing mana cost)...
1.) Remove "opponent's" from the card text.
2.) Recycle the minion into the Druid's deck instead.
3.) Recycle the "Recycle" card as well.
4.) Also summon a Recycler. The Recycler is a 0/2 minion with text that reads "At the beginning of your turn, destroy this card and Recycle a random card from your opponent's hand."
5.) Increase the mana cost of the recycled card by 2.
In the end he said "sudoku" instead of "sepuku"
He did it intentionally, because that misuse of the word has become a meme.

That timing for the Venture Co. "you gotta be kidding me!?" right after the hemmingway xD somehow fits the situation..
Another good senario: You're in the process of getting a good hand for that awesome synergy win. However, your opponent lays out a minion that would totally destroy what you've been preparing for. So you play Recycle to force it back into your opponents hand, thus giving you the time to play out your awesome win.
Also, knowing that your opponent may have a particular card because you recycled it, could possibly allow you time to prepare for that card when it comes back out.
If they changed it to shuffling the minion into your deck instead of your opponents then it would warrant the six mana cost.
Recycle - 4 Mana
~Shuffle a card into your opponents deck and make it cost 2 more when drawn.
Or
~ Return a friendly minion back to your hand and make it cost 2 less.
Druid relies on utility, and this setup would allow the utility of a Freezing Trap or a Brewmaster, but with it's cost of 4 mana and to make it viable in the current meta it would need to reduce the cost of the card or something similar to that effect since you won't gain a board presence as per a Brewmaster, plus as the case with removal; freezing trap being a 2 mana drop that triggers on attack to any enemy character, it should cause that card to cost 2 more and be sent to the deck (regardless of shuffle).
In Magic the Gathering, effects that shuffle a card into the opponent's library are very powerful because if a card is destroyed in MtG, it doesn't cease to exist like in Hearthstone, but instead goes to the graveyard, and there is tons of things that interact with the graveyard. In fact, quite often you would rather have a card in your graveyard than in your hand. So getting rid of a card in a way that doesn't put it in the graveyard is powerful.
In Hearthstone, you don't have that advantage. The only advantage to destroying is that it neutralizes Death Rattle, and compared to Assassinate, that benefit doesn't seem worth 1 extra mana AND the additional disadvantage of the minion possibly returning right again.
If the card cost 5, it'd be fine.

I have a gold version and learned to cast this on Bad cards! It turns the recycled card gold, but forces the enemy to waste a draw.
Recycle: put an enemy minion at the bottom of his deck.
The best way to 'fix' recycle while fitting the theme of the card should be;
"Shuffle an enemy minion into your opponents deck, return this card to your deck"
1 - Ice lance
2 - Sap
3 - Hex
4 - Polymorph
5 - Assassinate
6 - Recycle
Recycle should be something between 2 and 3 mana?
Or just recycle the whole board!
I used this card at the start of GvG. Although it can be satisfying to remove a problematic minion (works kinda like Silence + Assassinate), I have to agree it's really tricky to use this card and I had to cut it from my decks.
The card is best used when you are ahead (against Taunt or Sylvanas, per example) to push damage in. If "Tempo Druid" ever becomes a thing this card might be more useful. Right now, with the meta so fast you'll rarely have time to use this without falling behind.
It's a cool card but unfortunately quite complex to play right.
Recycle could be such a cool card, it could put the minion at the bottom if your opponents deck or it could put the minion in your deck.
6 mana is pretty fair for putting the minion not in the enemy's hand, but back in his deck. That is, in a good number of situations, another way of saying make that legendary disappear for a long time.

Seems like recycle's effect is somewhere between a sap and an assassinate in most cases. Granted those are both rogue cards so the comparison isn't perfect but it still makes sense. Sap (2) Assassinate (5)....Recycle (4) seems like the perfect fit

I think it could be changed so that the recycled minion gets put in YOUR deck instead, this would make it like a mini mindcontrol, maybe up the mana cost with this change.

Another 6 mana removal card is the warlock's Siphon Soul which actually destroys the minion and heals you and I think that's better in any case except if the minion has a Deathrattle you don't want to be triggered. I think Recycle would see play if it cost like 3-4 mana which isn't that crazy considering the rogue card Sap which does the same thing except it sends the card to the hand instead of the deck. So just make it 4 mana and you'll have it being useable
Here's another way to buff it: Shuffle this card into your own deck. That way, you get a chance to draw the legendary you just sapped. As it is now, it's just a sheep that costs 2 more.
The problem with recycle is that it doesn't really deal with any of the big threats right now and as a druid its hard to play something on the same turn as this removal except a 4 drop on turn 10. Even if you have board presence, you'd rather just run some FON combos and other good cards over this one.
How about 4 mana, but return a minion to it's deck. That way it opens up the possibility to use it for your own creatures, whether to save a minion from Doomsayer or something.

since sap returns to hand, it should be between 3-5 mana. I agree that at 3 mana it will just be put into every control deck, so 4 to 5 mana is more appropriate. at 5 mana it will only be used in a time with big death rattle decks or giant decks etc, so perhaps 4 mana is appropriate for it

Being a druid card, why isn't this made into a multi-choice card?
Remove one 6 mana or higher card OR remove two 3 mana or less cards. Something along those lines would make if far more appealing.

Think Recycle would be a lot better if it read thusly: "Remove an enemy minion from the board and place it at the bottom of their deck." That way the minion you want to recycle won't come up again until he/she is basically out of cards. Then again, it wouldn't really make a whole lot of sense with the name and all. But, whatever.
the problem with recycle is that it doesnt really do anything. you have to think of your deck as all 30 cards. recycle doesnt kill anything or deal damage so it just does nothing in the long run

I think if the card was 4 mana it would be very good. Right now it's a better sap effect for triple the cost. It's somewhat worse then assassinate because the minion isn't removed permanently. 4 mana makes it comparable to polymorph in value. It leaves nothing for the opponent on the board, but they can get it back later on. Would make it playable.
I think it would be really cool if it was something like an 8 cost and the card said: Shuffle an enemy minion into your deck.

Recycle is essentially like insurance in black jack. You're a chump if you take it, but when it pays off you get to high five your buddies
The real problem with Recycle?
It's job is to immediately remove an enemy minion from the board.
Now, there is this card I compare it to, it's called Assassinate.
WHY ON EARTH would I pay +1 mana for the privilege of possibly seeing the removed card later on in the game?
5 mana would make it playable, 4 mana would make it very good. But 6?
I rest my case.

People... You can't just compare Recycle to cards like Sap and conclude "Sap is better than recycle, therefor recycle is bad" Druid DOESNT have sap... if they did savage roar would be even sexier than it already is xD
Point being, each class has to make due with what they have. That includes worse versions of different class specific cards.
But ya... 6 mana is a bit much, 5 would be fair, and you could play it with one of the many strong 5 drops druid has.

you need a fireball/pyro out of your last 3 cards, guess what, take this creature into your deck
you can also remove a taunt from the board,
and deathrattles don't trigger
I think what would make recycle worth the cost of 6 mana would be to shuffle an opponent's minion into YOUR deck. Now that would be an interesting card, and not that broken as cards like mind vision and thoughtsteal essentially takes cards from an opponent for you to play.

If the game is going to go to fatigue all recycle does is cost you 1 card for 0 of their cards. All this card can do is maybe protect your 5-drop the next turn if you played your 5-drop on an empty board and their response was a 5-6drop creature.
I don't think they should buff recycle. The point to me is to highlight Druids bad removal by having its only okay removal be either high costed or major drawbacks (star fire, star fall, recycle, naturalize)

recycle hard counters death wing and any demon with a drawback, it can also be comboed with a draw card to increase the enemies mill amount or limit his options

I think you could make it a 5 mana drop and shuffle the enemy minion into your own deck and it might not be as bad
Recycle works well against Deathwing. Deathwing has discard hand and no one wants to discard more than 8+ cards from deck.
At the end he says he has lethal. How? I only see a potential 10 dmg plus 1 from draw. What did i miss?
From a developers perspective, why would this card cost 6 when assassinate for rogue costs 5? Just seems odd to me.

step 1: give already known facts about card x and add nothing interesting or new to them
step 2: talk about how you think the card should be used and say you have a match showing its true potential to fake your rhetorical abillities
step 3: show a match in which card x appears and did not have an significantly bigger impact than any other card played during that match

Isn't it kind of worse than every other removal spell, like Siphon Soul, Hex and Sheep? Even humility seems better. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it wouldn't see much play even if it was shuffling an enemy minion in to your own deck.

Maybe like an all-in stall deck? Go all-in on savage roar combo, shade or minibot or some other dangerous minion/buffs and you just use recycle, naturalize and any other removal lol.
Or change the card to "place the minion on top of the enemy deck" so they draw it right away or like "when the card is drawn again play it immediately" using the required mana lol, that'd be interesting imo
As it is an Assassinate with minor upside and minor drawback, it could at least be 5 mana
The fact that you gain mana crystal every turn makes this card effect a lot weaker than in MTG, too.
The mana cost is just too high for it. Assassinate is only 5 mana and you don't have to worry about the card coming back around 3 turns later.
i would play recycle for 4 mana. or 5 mana with a small buff. Like. Recycle a minion back into the deck, when the card is drawn, deal 5 damage to the enemy hero

dinamo flams I don't know, Druid has always been a versatile class and that versatility comes with a extra cost of Mana, but considering how bad is Blizzard at balancing, it doesn't amaze me that this card is that expensive, still 6 is exaggerated it should cost 4 or how I said it

It'd be nice if Blizz nerfed/buffed cards inbetween expansions to spice the meta up continously.
The only way this card will ever be viable in a meta, is if DemonLock is dominating and even then it's probably not great. Warlock plays a Demon with a negative battlecry i.e. Doomguard, Felguard, Pit Lord etc, you bounce it and they have to suffer the effect again, even then though, it's probably not good enough.
Do you think that Emperor Thaurissan makes this card better? I think it might...
I agree that the card needs to cost 4. At that cost it becomes a great answer to lots of annoying deathrattle minions like Shredder, Sylvanas, Belcher.
indeed. 6 is too much. siphon soul actually kills the minion and heals. assassinate kills the minion and costs 5. I think a removal that doesn't actually kill the minion for 4 sounds fair.
