Her shy persona did not allow her to shine the way she should and could. She is great and has a charming great personality. With the right singles and album she could easily have overdone Geri and Mel C.
i don't think it was even her persona that held her back - just that her music didn't sell as well as it could've...i honestly think her second + third albums were just ahead of their time with the 60s revival sounds
