Back to basics. Who/what was there first? People never want to live next to a sewerage works, a slaughter house, a chemical plant, etc so they decide on living on the flight path of an airport.! And surprise surprise the airport wants/needs to expand or grow. You have to be mighty lucky to pick an airport that was going to close. Why didn't they do their research, investigation, exploration, due diligence ??

"the impact of the airport on our children and grandchildren growing up in the...". Are they rooted to the ground, they can move elsewhere , they have their freedom , eventually they get jobs and raise their families somewhere more accommodating.
    I DID MOVE AWAY.

Any person who chooses to live next to an airport and then complain about the noise afterwards, shouldn't even be acknowledged.

Southampton Airport is set to fail. That’s what you get when you put all your eggs in one basket.
