I'm Jerry Younglove's sister in law -- he was the only one wearing a print shirt in this photo.....he went on to become a television news editor and then started his own media company.....YBS Media. He lives in Florida part of the year and comes back to Michigan during the good months. He spends a lot of time traveling for his work and he also has and campaigns (not politically!) his own labrador retrievers. Last I talked with him (apx 3wks - 1 month) he was doing just fine.
Joint Effort did a reunion concert in 1972 at the Bailey Park courts. Lee Koteles had a band that he fronted (just singing, no keys) at the time and played with us.
You can get "Rainbow Chaser" on a cd called Let 'Em Have It - 27 Gone Garage Classics! (no lable). It has tracks by groups on the Fenton, Phalanx, Hideout, A2, etc lables. If you can find it.
It's Fred Dummer. I think John Burdick was one of the drummers. The Harper Creek class of 1970 did our 25th reunion and had a concert with as many of the bands that played the local dances as we could get together. The St. Louis Zoo, The Syndicate, and Joint Effort (both versions) all played. Brent Flathau came in from Washington so we did a Troyes jam band. I called Jeff Koteles to see if he could talk Lee into doing a Troyes reunion, but was told that Lee had no interest.
Wow is this Fred or Brent? I grew up hanging out in the Koteles house hanging out with Jeff and Lee, Jeff and I were best friends, I played keys for a couple of different bands in Battle Creek. I just moved back to Michigan would be great to connect with old friends
Lee Koteles, Fred Dumer (sp?), Gary Linke.....Gary Linke was head of the Battle Creek ski Club a few years ago...not sure where he is at now. Yes, Jerry Younglove....Those were 4....not sure about the fifth one.
