Dialogue is really unbelievable, just feels like I'm watching a youtube skit not a movie. Beginning especially (couldn't continue watching after this) Large pauses between lines where it feels like the actors are trying to remember their lines rather than having a natural conversation. Camera angles are always just straight on, nothing creative, no framing or interesting shots. The violence on the boyfriend was very fake looking, having it behind the couch just screamed "save money on special effects." Yelling was corny and felt forced like someone reenacting a time they yelled at someone to their friends not something happening live. Weird blur on the camera around 0830 minutes and before that, more stale dialogue about sounding like shit. I get some people would talk like that but nobody I want to watch a movie about. Was the blur supposed to be like an affect or something? Props and setup for the story is decent you just really need a good writer and director, someone to give it some life and make things feel more serious and less like a school project. The CQB was overly technical, it looked, once again, like actors trying to memorize their "lines" (in this case, movements) and get everything correct rather than just doing it naturally. Watch some videos of the war in Ukraine for reference or an actual SWAT entry team. They don't do every little thing perfectly, they focus on what is most necessary. And the whole kneeing with one foot on the tire, I know you thought it looked cool, but it just looks silly. The guy in blue is just doing way too much for no reason. You've got [X] suspects, that's never mentioned, no plan is ever spoken like "Dave take van, I'll take car" and what is he doing laying on the ground? Why? There was plenty of room to semi- circle and gain more control/observe without having to lay down. You're making the character do something you think is cool without providing the reasoning to do so, so it looks forced and therefor weird. Like in movies where the protagonist has to drop to the ground and shoot under the car to hit the enemy in the ankles or something, that makes sense, but instead he just shoots from around the back of the bumper? When the 2 guys followed the enemy down the stairs, THAT was good acting. They weren't popping perfect lockouts and holds, just felt natural. More doing and less thinking about doing. Run the scenarios until they become 2nd nature and movements become less exaggerated and this could be great.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and share your thoughts. Totally hear you on the points about the dialogue and camera work - we had a blast making this, and since it was our first project like it we definitely learned a ton! Pacing the dialogue was a bit of a balancing act and we appreciate your feedback on that too. As for the action scenes and technical stuff, we were going for a specific vibe but we’ll keep the tips about realism and natural movement in mind for future projects. The blur you mentioned is actually a filter used on set as a stylistic choice we were experimenting with. Thanks again for watching, and for the constructive criticism - It helps as we keep improving. We hope you come back to check out our future work, maybe you'll see just the type of changes you were talking about.
I was looking for reviews about ear muffs and the algorythm brought me here somehow. Top notch gear, motion and firefight scenes! And having my country featured at the end of the video was the cherry on top of the cake! Congrats on this movie.
12:40 Honestly, good for homeboy trying to be a hero there and all, but was that a damn Ruger compact? Edit: 15:54 I highly relate to this character because I was playing Rimworld and captured a hostile elf who then flew into a rage attacking an enslaved genie which belonged to my colony. The elf had the "body purist" trait, so as punishment for destruction of property and vandalism, I put the elf on an operating table and made her "all right," starting with the left ear.
Something I didn't notice on the first few viewings (watching again to hype myself up for the Mega Millions drawing tonight, it's up to $1.22billion and me and the lads are playing (Inshallah)), I like that the smoke detector chirp becomes more frequent when she starts panicking to make the phone call. Stress really do turn seconds to minutes and minutes to hours sometimes.
Bad news, some prick in Cali won the lottery. I wanted to buy EoTech and make them redesign and rerelease the EoLad, then there'd be EoLads for all my lads.
Nice work, decent tactics, running scene 🎬 VERY GOOD 👍🏽, dialogue…. Not bad, good gear, 1 or 2 entries need adjustments, 6 o clock guy(rear security guy) pretty accurate, 😊M4 malfunctions (deal with it later and pull you F@&$ side arm . Above all, you guys did an amazing job with what I believe it was a short budget. Very well done 👍🏽. 4.5 of 5
Nicely done, people. This is what my friends and I dreamed of making when we were younger, but never had the chance to do. The tech these days makes things so much easier than 40 years ago. Congratulations! Here's hoping for many more productions from this crew!! 😁
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Great twist. That was some excellent production value for a low budget short. And bravo on the weapons handling and muzzle discipline. I have to assume your "career criminals" were military or law enforcement by the way they moved with their weapons. But like any good producer would say, "I have notes." For starters, the logline is off. The story is about the struggling data analyst stealing money and bringing a world of hurt down on him and his wife. TWO - There were clearly some sound issues in the garage that probably could be cleaned up with ADR or just bumping up the sound of the comms. THREE - After the data analyst gets taken, not sure you needed all that fancy editing stuff during your main titles. You're giving away too much story that the audience is about to experience. FOUR - the ending scene in the house --- BTW, I love the sound FX of the beeping fire alarm. Bloody brilliant! --- you don't need the data analyst leaving the house and screaming then coming back in then ending the movie. All you needed was the shot of the note and the birth certificates. You could almost end on that shot with the data analyst screaming, "Fuck!" off screen. Dug your promo before the release! Got my attention and made me watch. Hope you enter it in festivals. Good luck on the film!!!
Unbelievable quality. Attention to detail. Without a multi trillion dollar budget be incredibly proud. This was fucking fantastic. Also to the PMC guys specially the main guy with gray hair you’ve been in country I can tell. But everyone did a fantastic job you need to make a feature length film.

This movie is f**king insane! Like Holy Crap, dude! This is like a HEAT film that took place 21 years ago! The edits, sound and the acting was crazy! Cole was that MF'er that you shouldn't piss off! My one and only complaint is you can see that your headsets are not connected to any radios in some of the scenes. Specifically the main guy with the m32's wires that are just strapped to his headset. Aside from that this was amazing!

Who's gonna tell them.about the smoke alarm???
That’s the best part of the intro.
At first 5 seconds I was like did they really film it with a low battery lmao
The office bird remained zen through it all.😔
it was part of the intro bro
its one of the most irritating sounds known to man
First you must Finance, then you Maneuver.
When you maneuver, you go for the bank’s money
Lend and Bend
Hot dogs for life!!!
Top notch fkn quality. Best Running Scene in any film ever. 10/10 would bang and clear
I really liked that one too. I liked the dude rolling over to aim with his foot on the rim too. I haven't seen that move in another movie.
@@Doug557Cole has the steeeeeez that man can operate, absolute silver fox
As a black person I didn't hear the smoke alarm so I was very confused. Please substitute the smoke alarm noise for some other form of alarm sound.
Best comment of all time.
Dude the logistics on the blank firing and whatever y'all did to not get arrested while filming is badass! Such a sick film! Great job.

The ability to finance through the art of maneuvering. Slow is fast and fast is slow.

Nothing quite like back to back to back malfunctions with bad guys 10 meters and in
At least they showed some realistic shit that could happen and does
That's why God invented blank adapters. But for an amateur production, it was pretty decent.
The first malfunction was user induced... piss poor reload. He was under severe stress so made sense.
That smoke detector is really creating the anxiety of the opening scene
