      Patrick Loney there is actually a much easier way to make the forge from essential craftsman and there is no welding

      Yes try that instead. Although welding isn’t too hard once you understand how it works

      @@swankscabinet1625 I think the main issue that most people don’t own or have access to a welder.

      @@JACKxTHExRIPPER I get that. But if you can, a welding machine is one of the best investments a starting blacksmith should get.

    • @christianyaw3960
      @christianyaw3960 6 років тому +3

      The entire thing came prefabricated, minus the burner which was incredibly easy to piece together. The only tools I needed were a couple wrenches and some pipe dope. That said, I haven't had it running yet.
      It does not come with a regulator, and the only one my local hardware had that we thought might work was a $100 acetylene regulator. It took an hour or so sifting through forums on Anvilfire and iforgeiron to find a regulator that's a bit more reasonable and seems to be what's needed--the Mr. Heater 0-60. I'm going to order it this weekend.
      Now I imagine 60 psi is way more than would ever be needed, but since Alec and Sam didn't cover the subject in the video or website and the only advice I found on the forums was "depends on your burner" I decided to cover my bases.
