Looks up how to get started.. (weld this, weld that.) Looks up how to weld
Patrick Loney there is actually a much easier way to make the forge from essential craftsman and there is no welding
Yes try that instead. Although welding isn’t too hard once you understand how it works
@@swankscabinet1625 I think the main issue that most people don’t own or have access to a welder.
@@JACKxTHExRIPPER I get that. But if you can, a welding machine is one of the best investments a starting blacksmith should get.
😂
Love going back to the older vids
The fact that this has 4 likes and was one week ago just goes to show eh
I like how he doesn’t yell constantly here
Nice one Sam, getting Alec to do all the hard work for a change!
Tell Sam he did a fantastic job.
Unless he is reading this....
Sam you did a fantastic job. :)
in that case... You did a fantastic job!
Fantastic Job :Thumbs Up:
Nice one Sam.
No it's a fanTAStic job, well done Alec we love your channel and your enthusiasm
TheSasquatch33 thank you so much just know that in the near future I am buying a large burner one please let Alec know I would love to buy a hammer and anvil too
Hey Alec, i think it would be cool if you did an induction forge project, that would be amazing
Sam is a pro at tutorialing, explained everything clearly and included the safety precautions. good job sir
He's probably been working on his sales pitch for quite a while. Haha
he didn't mention lighting a wool without a refractory is quite dangerous.
Just placed my order. Sure I could build one cheaper, but this way I know it's going to be quality and I see it as a great way to support someone putting out content I enjoy. Thanks guys!
Christian Yaw hi do you know if they come with the holes in the top prebuilt
Benendes C yeah the whole thing is prefabricated I believe
Christian Yaw thanks good to know
Christian Yaw How is the forge working? Also was it hard to setup/ what did you need of tools to do ot
The entire thing came prefabricated, minus the burner which was incredibly easy to piece together. The only tools I needed were a couple wrenches and some pipe dope. That said, I haven't had it running yet.
It does not come with a regulator, and the only one my local hardware had that we thought might work was a $100 acetylene regulator. It took an hour or so sifting through forums on Anvilfire and iforgeiron to find a regulator that's a bit more reasonable and seems to be what's needed--the Mr. Heater 0-60. I'm going to order it this weekend.
Now I imagine 60 psi is way more than would ever be needed, but since Alec and Sam didn't cover the subject in the video or website and the only advice I found on the forums was "depends on your burner" I decided to cover my bases.
Thank you very much for your lovly videos im not having great at the moment but your happy an possive video always helps
Can you still buy this? I can't find it
Sam it's fantastic to see that you're helping Alec spread the love of smithing to the masses. I hope to be able to afford a forge from you soon and start my journey of becoming a blacksmith.
Proud of ya Sam 😁
Very nice!
Nice job Sam! I really enjoy watching you two working together. 😁
Duuuuuuuuude! ! ! !
You just gave me the idea needed to start a forge for a different project! ! ! !
RIGHT NOW I LOOOOOOOVE YOU! ! ! !
as a certified structual welder im happy, you are offering this to newbi blacksmiths such as my self! how ever i got one of your early big boy burners and made my own forge! and im kickin ass! wouldnt be doing it if it wasnt, for you brother!
shepards forge h
Hi! I'm a certified structural welder as well! Very little experience as of yet, but I'm working on that. It's nice to know I'm not the only certified structural welder who watches this show. :)
Atomic Fire ive been welding 14 yrs now n i love it but ive always, wanted to blksmith. thanks to this guy and many others i now own n opperate my own shop! its been a dream 18 yrs and now its real!!! ive never found anything as exhosting or exillerating as blksmithing
shepards forge h
Yeah, guys like this are so much an inspiration! Have you found Chandler Dixon? He's an inspiration to me as well, though I don't like his video format as much...
Its kind of funny, I started out blacksmithing before welding but I finished training to be a welder before getting much further with the blacksmithing. Hopefully that will change soon.
Atomic Fire i,started, out watching him...old school forge but his vids r sooooo long!
shepards forge h
Yes they are. Which is why I don't watch his vids very often anymore... He's got some good quality work though, I'll gladly give him that.
Thankyou thankyou thankyou! I have been looking for a video like this forever!
Honestly the camera work and sound work are both amazing, most wouldn't expect that kind of quality from a smithing channel
Nice video, Alec and Sam.
The "small" forging furnace looks great and is quickly assembled.
Love your attitude and positive out look
Hey Alec! espectacular. debes subir más videos como este. Gracias! Saludos de Argentina!!
You are like *super* excited in this vid. It's great. Your enthusiasm is lovely.
Well done Sam! Bravo! I love the idea selling a DIY version that you weld yourself!
Im just beginning blacksmithing and have found your videos super helpful! As much preference as ive seen fir gas forges, i also want to have a coke forge so that I may learn the differences first hand. Thank you so much for being educational and fun!! Love your videos!!!
Nice little forge. Looks like it would be a good starter forge. I'm gonna stick with my coal forge though. Keep up the great stuff. Define Your Legacy!!
The problem is tho: how am I supposed to weld things?!
Jakob Mannheim maybe get a welder? There are videos that show you how to do it with simple things like a car battery if you can't afford one
we just came up with a shitty version of this: a blowtorch fixed to a soda bottle filled with fireclay (or whatever you call it). we'll add a small hole for some small bars to put in, thats it. Baby furnace
How does your coal forge do?
order placed first thing this morning, can't wait!!
Goooo Saaaam! looks great man I'll be getting one soon. I've been wanting to make a trip to come meet y'all- dream to be trained by Allex lol
I really enjoy watching these videos of yours. Good work.
Great stuff and great music.
Great-looking little forge, Sam. It would be cool to maybe someday see a longer, two- burner design, as well.
Love that Anvil
Beginner forge made by an expert.... lol love it. Great job Sam!!!!
Sam's the man! Everyone needs a mate called Sam! Massive respect to the epic outro too, very cool stuff!
looks great. keep up the good work motivating people around the world
This is fantastic Samuel, Well done dude!
I'm one of those getting into blacksmithing. I got a nice anvil for super cheap that I cleaned up and the next step is the forge. It's going to be a blast! I'm also making videos of the process (In part due to Alec's way of making videos)
amazing piece of equipment and easy to make. thank you
Very nice looking set up!
Sam's eyes look majestical
respect you and your talent. I always wanted to learn to do blacksmithing and your channel has inspired me to find a place to learn the skills. Thank you for your videos and keep up the great work.
I already ordered one of your burners, now I can't wait for it to arrive so I can start forging with gas for the first time!
well done Sam..... and Alec.
Great video idea to get people into blacksmithing seems super interesting
Alec has been giving me great advice as i make one
Heading over now!
Looks like a great entry level product.
Ordered!
This looks like a fantastic reason to get a good welder!
yes if I could get into it I would buy one. this is very cool because the cost to start up for my friend was easily over $2000 with a two burner forge. Thanks Sam for helping support a great thing.
Whoop 👍🏼 Farmers Fight! Thanks Alec for all the great information. Your videos and charisma are awesome.
Great job Sam!!
I was just thinking on this very thing last night, so thank you young sir for answering a question before it is asked
Can’t stop watching such good content
I want this to be my birthday present from me, to me, with love! I definitely bookmarked the website so I will know exactly where to go to get one! you should put the striker plates on the same website, make it a catch all for beginners!
Commenting and liking before I watch the video... your awesome, and I have been looking into how to build a forge all day today! HAHA
Excellent video!
Awesome video guys! Been wanting to get into blacksmithing after watching many of your videos! Gonna head over to the website and check it out, thanks yall!
Ordered. So excite.
Excellent stuff! I made one very similar but with 2 burners for longer knives.
Thank you Sir for your video!
I'm young & learning, I have a question if it's ok, Can I use clay three holed bricks to forge metals or is it a bad idea ????
Thanks Alec!!!! Been waiting on this! Good job young man!!!!
grand stuff sirs!
You should show us how to build a foundry to melt small pieces of aluminum! I'm sure a lot of your viewers would love that!
Check out the forging video on the channel, CWWraith. Should only be one. We were experimenting with a waste oil burner and then a propane burner. If you like it, I will be posting another video on how to make a forge when we make a much more durable one
If I had an extra $400 I would totally buy one of these. I've always wanted to get into smithing and this looks like the most amazingly simple and affordable way to do so.
that's a beautifully simple forge.
awesome job Sam they look super nice
Love your shirt
epic show as usual. keep up the good work mate
bra thanks so much. this video answered so many questions. that's a dope set up. I'm definitely going to try and make one.
The power of fire through Sam! Dam pen
Awesome Forge Sam!
starting smithing myself, great idea.
great stuff Alec love the lil forge
May the forge be with you.
I really can't wait. I have a friend with a welder... can't wait.
very very cool! I will be in touch with Sam for burners and other resources.
I really like the style of that lil BEAST!
keep it up Sam! Great job!
You should offer courses in which people can forge their design with you. I would book one.
Respect to your skills and thx for showing up all this.
Very nice product Sam. I can use another forge in the shop, will be ordering!
Awesome guys thanks. Love it.
my first forge was a hole dug in the floor with cheap coal and a pipe with a hair dryer duck taped to it. used it about 4 times before giving up and buying a proper coke forge.
Thanks Alec. Maybe someday I’ll upgrade from my repurposed grill/ coal forge, to one of these boys.
looks awesome, been looking at doing something similar, but I like the simplicity of the burner. what kind of gas are you running for that set up?
great video I cant wait to get started
Awesome job sam wise
Thanks for this!!!
Looks awesome!
Your videos are getting better quality both video and audio .
Great! Amazing video. Let's get started. Greetings from Germany.
very nice i hope they sell well and maybe make a bigger version later
God job. Respect to Alec!
Very nice indeed.
Damn good job Sam!
GREAT VIDEO!!! THANK YOU
Alec!!! Hi I was wondering, what would be your recommendation on how to make this forge without a welder?
Lmao took the "linked all round" part very seriously 😂
thanks for the great ideas
Nice simple design for a small propane forge. I am thinking of building one soon, but I'll probably just use whatever material I can get the best deal on whether it's an old 20lb propane tank or buying steel and welding one up.
he doesnt sell the burners anymore :(, and whats the link to look up that other guys website to get the plans?
Grrrrreat. You guys get on well. Entertaining team
Can you try making a Damascus chain? It's not as fancy as a knife or machete, but seems like something a bit more practical
