Note that we attach the flap to the main body of the bag, which is formed by rows (39 rows give the same width as 32 stitches). With my crochet density, it turned out like this. You crochet the main part of the bag, focusing on the length of the crochet flap.
@@crochetclubstore I see. This is gold! Thanks for replying. But in your video, you didn't straighten for the entire flap. So at which point, I should just use the yarn as is?

Hi Donna! The captions at the top of the video indicate the number of stitches to be crocheted in a row. You can also slow down the video if you can't keep up.
Would be nice if at the end of each row the total stitch was listed for that row. Most of us know about increasing in the round, if we know the end result it would be much easier to follow. Thanks
Can't wait to try this. Thanks for the video!
Never crocheted with rafia before is there a knack in keeping it flat so it doesn't twist as you crochet?
Instructions should say to SKIP the first stitch after the chain 3 when beginning Row 5.
confused with the main part of bag. 39 rows makes the bag 12inches wide instead of 8.5 inches. And from your image I have counted only 29 rows??
La pochette è bellissima..ms come fai a far scivolare la rafia così velocemente sull'uncinetto? Brava!!😊
Thank you so much! I love it! ❤
I made one for myself, but my daughter took it from me 😅 gonna make one more 😂❤❤❤
Thank youuu!! ❤
How come we ended the flap with 32 sc st while the part we have to attach it to the flap is 39 sc st ? Could you please explain. Thanks
I need your advice please

Yes mine didnt work out, had to pull it down 10 rows

Thank you for your reply, it didn’t work for me. Will try again with the flap.

Sorry you had to face the same problem
Do I need to widen the yarn for the entire project or just at the beginning? What's the function?
when you straighten the raffia, the stitches are lush and voluminous. Can only be straightened when crocheting the bag flap
@@crochetclubstore I see. This is gold! Thanks for replying. But in your video, you didn't straighten for the entire flap. So at which point, I should just use the yarn as is?
@@dogoodfeelwell when you start crocheting step 2 (main part) you can not straighten the yarn.
It looks like Row 8 starts with skipping 2 stitches? Your written instructions have some missing steps that make them hard to follow.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I will correct my description.

Could you tell me what shade/colour this is from Sisters Natura? Thanks!
Color M1501
Row one does not match to what your showing, can you explain plssss
How many skeins do we need for one clutch?
Original yarn: Raffia Sisters Natura (100% plant fiber, 250 m/273 yads 100g / 3.5 per skein) approx. 140 yards total.

Cannot follow you stitch counts are not listed and your crocheting is not clear. Nothing adds up
Hi Donna! The captions at the top of the video indicate the number of stitches to be crocheted in a row.

It has nothing to do with keeping up, go back some of your rows do not have stitch counts. 🤷♀️

Also I would consider buying the pattern but If I can’t follow the video I’m concerned I would have issues following the written pattern
@@donnad2934 I added decoding step 1 - at the end of each row there is a total stitch for that row. See pinned first comment.
Thanks for writing me :)
