Although hamate fractures are increasing in incidence secondary to the popularity of sports activities involving racquets, bats, and clubs, these injuries remain relatively rare. After seeing a patient who had the fracture apparent in an x-ray, Dr. Lopez explains the Hamate Fracture in detail. The patient was unaware of the fracture that was most likely caused by a golf swing.
