WoW Randy, amazing stories and mini history class about the mountains in order to set the stage for an amazing show. Thanks for sharing the story of Uncle Elton Randy. Hunting and the Outdoors for sure provides another way of living and not just breathing. I mentioned before and I always will: You motivated me into trying hunting again and it became my therapy for my PTSD. I was in a bad place mentally but hunting and the outdoors saved my life. Finally, after 23 years of Army service and 8 deployments overseas, I retired from the Army last June. I'm grateful of any opportunities of going up in the mountains where I can recharge my batteries to continue with our Day-in-Day-out life. Thank you, Randy and crew, for these amazing videos, stories and motivation to keep hunting and living, NOT JUST BREATHING 💪👊🦌😎can't wait for the next EP
Thanks for sharing your powerful story, and we hope our videos continue to help you and others "live" in every sense of how my Uncle Elton meant it when he talked to me.
Thanks Randy for uncle Elton story as of late I've breathing and not living age is taking a toll but you sharing uncle Elton has re awakened my desire to get at it. Thank you God's blessings to you and yours
Your uncle Elton reminds me of my father-in-law. He left the family farm and went off to serve in WWII. When the war was over, he came home and married and raised three kids. He worked for the railroad for 40+ years. All hours and most holidays. He was a wonderful grandpa to my two boys. All he wanted was to see his family happy and together. His goal was to retire, buy a small camper and travel the country, mostly the West. But God had other plans, and just within a year of retiring he died of colon cancer. My wife and I moved from Georgia to Montana 28 years ago, in a way fulfilling some of his dream. My dream has been to hunt and fish all over the NW and Canada, and by God’s Grace I’ve done it. Now that I’m ready for the rocking chair at 80, I get to enjoy your world. Thank you Randy, for doing and showing the way of love and how it’s best done with people who have the heart for the life we all love.
18:00 Breathin is not livin is such a strong statement. But so true.we go thru every day takin it all for granted. God gave us a great life. Look around and enjoy. I thank God every day for all he has given me. Great hunt. Would b like a dream to spend time in that territory . U look very happy.
Thanks for the little history lesson on the fur trade and Alexander Mackenzie! I teach my 7th grade social studies class about the Northwest Passage (or lack of) and the fur trade every year. I'll gladly be adding this little tidbit to my lesson this year. Best show ever!
And if you turn north, you will run into my personal bucket list , the arctic charr of the lower Mackenzie! One of the most gorgeous and hardest fighting salmonids. Your uncle's legacy lives on when you share his wisdom with us. thank you!
You're a lucky man, Randy! I spent many years flying into and working in Norman Wells, the surrounding Sahtu (Indigenous) communities, and further north, the Gwich'in and Inuvialuit communities in the Mackenzie Delta and Beaufort Region with my negotiations teams, negotiating various self-government agreements (modern Treaties) as the lead negotiator on behalf of the Government of Canada, with those groups and with the Government of the Northwest Territories. I've flown over some of that backcountry terrain in the Mackenzie mountains west of Norman Wells - it's breathtaking. I'm retiring at the end of this month after 32 years of combined federal public service and Canadian Armed Forces service. Sure hope I get to go back up there again someday. I'd love to hunt caribou up there.
Great video Randy ,the camaraderie in camp was awesome ! I noticed when you were dishing up your plate your hands were shaking? Hopefully just cold & not anything to worry about! Take care
That’s a sign that my liver condition is flaring up. When I get high toxin loads it disrupts my motor function, most noticeable with shaking and tremors. That’s usually when Marcus sends me to the tent to hydrate and medicate 😉.

I couldn't live myself if I didn't have my first rifle,.300 win mag,Ruger no frills no giant 3k scope, never fails.if I could Afford a sheep tag that will be with me.
Most Canadians can’t even afford to do these hunts anymore. Have to get a guide and they quoted me over 35000 American just for a caribou hunt then a 10-20% tip. The prices are ridiculous imo
@@wolverinefishing6877 love watching the content but seems my hunt fund goes mostly to keeping the lights on. So I live these dream hunts by watching others.
Sorry, my comment is completly off topic. Would you do a video about the threat of privatization of public lands. I know you have addressed this before but with the renewed efforts, especially in your home state I would like to hear your thoughts.
What an awesome series this has started out to be. Flash is the perfect horse for Randy... likes to nap. Can't wait to see what's next.

I'm so sorry to hear about your father-in-law. But what an inspiration. What a legacy. Thanks for following along.
Some of the most beautiful country God ever created... sometimes just getting to the woods is enough to remind us about life.
Thank you sir.
Thank you and thanks for watching.
Beautiful portray of this story Randy.
“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, it’s measured by the moments that take our breath away!”
Beautiful advice Randy...thank you. We should all aspire to live and not just breathe!
Thanks Randy for giving us a glimpse of the McKenzies and the wonders that they possess. Looking forward to the next installment.
Going to be a fun series.
Wow Randy! That hunt of my dreams, gives Living as you say, a whole new meaning. And first class all the way!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! It was a very memorable trip.

@DR-ro7dw it's great content to watch but it's sad that these hunts are now pretty much unaffordable to the average hunter.
@@wolverinefishing6877 top it off, an outfitted hunt in my own province that I can drive to his front door, still charges USD.
@DR-ro7dw absolutely brutal my friend

We need all hands on deck for public lands right now! Time for the hunting celebrities to step up!
Randy I have a great story about hunting on my channel Notellem ridge production I’m thankful I survived and got to hunt again
Were you also a client??
Too much talk!
