This is such an interesting deck! I have seen some takes on Lucemon control around BT13-14 which ran a red bottom end with guilmon and gigimon while using the rush Gallantmon from BT13 as a game ender. This seems like a fun an interesting take on the deck. It kind of reminds me of old good stuff decks with nothing being too archetype heavy. Solid video man!
Funny you mention that Gallantmon... I literally had to stop myself from chucking it in, because the card is so applicable everywhere. Honestly, stuck "on theme" a bit more than I maybe should have. But yeah, I wanted to take a different approach, because I don't find the security control lite approach to be particularly fun. Granted, Ukkomon rush + anything is pretty "ugh" these days too, but damn it, it works 😂 JUST WAIT TILL WE GET EX7 SHOTO...
@@kevinski-tcg yeah Ukko rush is something typically looked down upon. Personally I agree that it sucks that it feels like an auto include and while it helps speed up decks that are lower powered it is effective. I look forward to seeing what you cook up with Shoto though, he seems like such a good generic tamer
People in JP have already been doing some ignorant things with it, like the Mother Reaper blocker builds. I see Shoto pairs nicely with the newer Lucemon support coming down the line. As for Ukkomon... yeah, necessary evil I guess.
@@kevinski-tcg yeah, don't get it twisted though. I'm not a fan of cards that feel like you have to put them in every deck for it to be optimal. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth especially since one of them was a promo and while cheap, isn't as accessible as other cards are or will be that see similar prominence in deck building. As for Shoto, I have seen the Mother D blocker combo and it's crazy. Might just put him into D-Reaper as a memory tamer some he can do that( since I believe that is the Shoto that gives blocker but I'm not too certain) I'm excited to see what you come up with next though

I'm looking into this myself. I tried Gizmon engine and kept decking myself out. Probably because I used EX-06 Lucemon instead of Ukkomons. So just going to do something very dumb instead, at least until 2.0.
It is a very delicate balancing act. There are changes you can make to have it be less of an issue as well, such as cutting Kurata, teching in AvengeKidmon to shuffle back your option cards while potentially popping something, or switching to top ends like BT13 Gallantmon that don't mill you further when they hit the field. Still, it is a surprisingly fast deck, and you will burn out if you go too late into the game.
@kevinski-tcg A good way to put it. I was leaning more on Lucemon being a good target for Aces due to good colors and the threat of a Demon Lord from the Trash. Your version is more offensive and has less trash, so seems to work better in that regard. That was what kept happening in my practice matches. So decided to finally try the dumbest idea I've ever had. Which is to use Promo Wizardmon and Ai & Mako to rig my security. Put all my Dead or Alives in there. But it's probably tougher than this to build, so I'm gonna have to do so much testing haha.
Ai & Mako is definitely nice to help rig your security in combination with all your healing. And yeah, the Level 5s are fantastic ACE targets. So many insane Level 6s you can bridge to in general.

Decided not to include it after a bit of testing. Between the Ukkomons and Gizmons, you almost always have a low level body in play, so it doesn't get its cost reduction. It's also rare that you have a Level 6 to sacrifice for its warp digivolution skill. It's a good card, but not for this particular approach. Definitely much better once we have the full line in BT18, or in more security control focused builds now.

I've seen a Sistermon Control list floating around the last few days... The brain juices are definitely brewing lol.
Looooove this deck profile my guy! It's definitely a really fun one that a lot of players have been enjoying!
Lucemon is way more fun than it has any right to be. I just love any deck that gives me an excuse to trash turbo and slam expensive cards.

You are too kind brother!
Had to get this one out for all my fellow Lucemon stans.
Would absolutely love your take on a BT17 Shakkoumon deck :)
I was looking at Shakkoumon with BBDudes a while back but I got too swamped to sort it out.
Definitely worth exploring again.

"fleshing out" yeah so much that all chaos modes are far too expensive -.-
Yeah, this is not a cheap deck to play...

They did not keep the shadolord mode in the localization it saten mode even in the english version and has been since after fronteir
That's pretty surprising, but I'm glad. Very edgy lol.
