  • Dan Novak and Ashley Thompson host today's Learning English show.
01:03 First: A school for tourism and hotel management has opened its doors to students in Kabul, Afghanistan. Ashley Thompson reports about the ruling Taliban's effort to attract more visitors to the country.
07:33 Next: A recent American law requires TikTok’s Chinese owner, ByteDance, to sell the company’s U.S. operations within nine months or face a nationwide ban. But the video sharing service remains popular among Americans. On the LE Science and Technology Report. Bryan Lynn explains how TikTok has developed its technology and expanded its business to include more than one billion users worldwide. Then, Bryan joins Ashley in the studio. She asks him: what is the main problem the U.S. government has identified as problematic with TikTok. Ashley also wonders when the ban could actually go into effect.
19:08 Finally: The LE Lesson of the Day. Andrew Smith and Jill Robbins base their instruction on the LE video series Let's Learn English. Have you had butterflies in your stomach? That's a symptom of nervousness. Andrew and Jill talk about how trying to learn a second language can make people nervous.
Dan and Ashley close the show.

Perhaps the guy named Said doesn't know that last year over 2 million foreigners visited Pakistan and not a single incident of attacking was reported. Afghanistan tourism is largely dependent on the soft heart of Pakistan government towards Afghanistan as almost the whole of Afghan trade is carried on through Karachi sea port of Pakistan. In Pakistan, foreigners can drink , drive , dance and even dive on the beach.
