Awesome job and thanks for the thoroughness... projectors are the way to go for sure. You'd think such an expensive truck Ford would put in higher quality headlamps, but nope. Most people are running HID or LED in their reflectors and blinding everyone.
Great video. Thanks. I’ve used the LEDs before and the coverage is spotty. That’s due to the two sides bulb & no illumination on the front. I’d likely go with the HID just to get a full coverage, smoother illumination. But nice job! Great thorough explanations
I had HID lamps in 2 previous vehicles, I found that the after market HID lamps were deemed illegal in the UK if you were to install them on cars that came originally with halogen bulbs from the factory LED bulbs are cheaper as well but you should not buy really cheap LEDs as the fit is not good at all. On my latest car a Rav4 2012 model I have changed all the bulbs to LED including the interior ones, this makes so much difference compared to the standard lighting & a bonus is they last much much longer.
I’m not a fan about projector lights everyone I’ve seen don’t put out the light that it’s made for . IDK to be honest with you when you we’re driving I wasn’t impressed in what I was seeing but it’s video so maybe seeing it for real might change my mind . Thanks good video
LED bulbs are brighter in reflective head.ight housing. LED bulbs will be less bright in projector type housings. GTR 2.0 in a reflective housing will brightest in your vehicle. See the testing done by Head Light Revolution
These Projectors are no longer available. Any other suggestion? I have HIDs ready to go in my 2011 but only the original factory Headlights. I'm afraid I will get pulled over because of the glare. There are so many options its hard to know what to choose on Amazon.
good video, for the DRL could a guy use a add a fuse type system? I picked up some recons that are similiar but I do not want to splice into existing harness as instructions say.
Thought about it, but it would be for looks only. They dont really do anything. Id be more apt to install aftermarket LED lights in that location for more on demand lighting.
With certain led bulbs it wont throw the light everywhere and blind others, in my f250 I have led lights and I've never had a problem with them blinding people
How did you run that 5 amp to the fuse box? And how did you run the DRL wires to the other headlight? Does the passenger side have to same wires as well?
Can you access the bulbs via wheel wells? I just got my 2016 F 250 and it’s got a king ranch grill guard which without removing it, the grill and headlight covers aren’t coming off.

I just ordered the new Morimoto's for my 2014 that are similar to the 17s-19s.

You could yes
Are you still happy with these
Have you thought about adding the factory fog lamp kit like the one Fairway Ford sells on ebay?

I need that adapter where did you get It from

I made a harness. Yes the same wires run to the passenger side. I just split the circuit at the driver's side headlight.

No I don't think so
Want a fan burn out from it Having a supply of air to pull from since it's covered by the dust cap
No. Plenty of space inside of the headlight.
