    Nice job showing the versatility of the GrillGrates and Yoder.

    Great video!! I’ve had my Yoder for 3 yrs and have only used it for smoking. Purchased the grill grates & griddle and have never used them, this has inspired me to broaden my horizons. Mines been great except after 3 yrs it developed some rust which required sanding & painting!
    Cheers!!

      Get the pizza oven. It’s a game changer. Mine is due for some sanding as well. It’s part of being steel, but easy to do. Treat it with some mineral oil and that will help stretch it out. 🍻

    Pellet Grill tastes better, but takes a fair amount of time.
    BBQ grill food is good and doesn't take long to cook stuff. So in a few ways it's a toss as to what's the Best, and time needed.
    Love ♥️ Grilling either way

      Yep def a bit slower, but worth it if you have the time. 🍻

    Brilliant and thorough look at capabilities and limitations (not sure I saw any limitations). How's the flat side of the aluminum grill grates differ in application from the Yoder Cast Iron Grate? Great video!

      The griddle carries heat a bit more wider as far as heat zone, but the grill grates def work well. 🍻

    Yeaaaaa, finally someone else that doesn’t like cheese on their burgers. For years people have looked at me like I was some kind of freak when I would say, “No cheese.” when I ordered a burger.🤣😂🤣

      🤣 if I want cheese I’ll have pizza lol. 🍻

    I use my Weber SmokeFire as a grill all the time. Haven't touched my gasser in over 3 years because of it. Might take a little longer to warm up but I think the taste it produces is worth the wait. BTW, not a big cheese on a burger guy either, you're not alone. Nice video!

    Nice cook Jake. I have been using my grill grates on the full bottom for a while for cooks like that. One question do you ever adjust the variable displacement damper?

    • @RumandCook
      @RumandCook  17 днів тому

      Thanks! I never touch the damper to be honest. Used it a few times for videos but I probably haven’t touched it in a year 😁🍻

    Nice job. As a person not intimately familiar with pellet grills, where does the grease / drippings go and is it easy to clean a yoder when you grill like that? So used to the kamados being basically self-cleaning, just curious on the mechanisms and the effort involved after a lot of this type of activity vs smoking where you have drip pans.

    • @RumandCook
      @RumandCook  17 днів тому +1

      There is a diffuser plate that slopes to the right. All grease slides down it and into a bucket on the bottom. A little more work than a Kamado, but not much. 🍻

    Great video. Hard to say myself. Id rather some food's on the pellet just to smoke. But I use my gas grills more often for the convenience. Cheers 🥂

    Great to know that the Yoder can also grill with additional GrillGrates, But I will probably stick with my grill until it dies lol

      Pellet grills don’t produce much smoke past 300. At grilling temps it’s not noticeable. 🍻

      @@RumandCook I agree, however I have a Rec Tec pellet smoker that still gives smoke flavor at high temp even with charcoal pellets, great channel you have by the way
