1975 my dad and I visited Colorado to “chase the narrow gauge railroads”, at least what we could find of them. Como was one location amongst many we stopped. It holds a special place with me… Although I no longer have the physical photos dad took on that trip (an ex destroyed them) I have the memories… Thank you for a look back.
The South Park Railroad Society is responsible for the restoration of the station , round house , the hotel , re-laying the rails and an engine that they did have running , it is being completely rebuilt so they can have steam up days . I was youngster on a ranch down the Tarryall . Nice to see some of Como being brought back ,

Marshall, could you ever see yourself living in a town that small? Where is the Starbucks? Is there a gas station?
They really need something there that makes money. There was only one shop in the whole town.
