    N 2 Gether Now (1999)
"N 2 Gether Now" is a song by American rock band Limp Bizkit and features Method Man. It was released as the third single in their second album Significant Other. The single was released alongside their last single "Break Stuff". The song is completely void of instrumentalist members Sam Rivers, John Otto and Wes Borland and is a purely a hip hop song.
Method Man had heard about Limp Bizkit, and wanted to record with them because he had never worked with a rock band. The band allowed Fred Durst and DJ Lethal to explore their hip hop origins by recording a song with the rapper, as well as DJ Premier of Gang Starr, who was brought in to produce the collaboration. The band wanted to record "a track that was straight hip-hop", according to Wes Borland.[1] The song was originally titled "Shut the Fuck Up", but was retitled "N 2 Gether Now" for marketing purposes. The songs main riff is sampled from the Beastie Boys ft. Q-Tip song "Get it Together"[1]
Clifford Smith (born March 2, 1971),[1] better known by his stage name Method Man, is an American hip hop recording artist from Staten Island, New York. A rapper, record producer and actor, Method Man is perhaps best known as a member of the East Coast hip hop collective Wu-Tang Clan.
The Wu-Tang Clan /ˈwuːtæŋ/ is an American East Coast hip hop group from Staten Island, New York that consists of rappers RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and the late Ol' Dirty Bastard. They are frequently joined by fellow rapper and childhood friend Cappadonna, a quasi-member of the group. They were formed in (and are associated with) the New York City borough of Staten Island (U-God, Method Man, RZA, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon) (referred to by members as "Shaolin"), though some of their members are from Brooklyn (Ol Dirty Bastard, GZA and Masta Killa).
Limp Bizkit is an American nu metal band. Its lineup consists of Fred Durst (vocals), Wes Borland (guitars), Sam Rivers (bass) and John Otto (drums). Their work is marked by Durst's abrasive, angry lyrics and Borland's sonic experimentation and elaborate visual appearance, which includes face and body paint, masks and uniforms, as well as the band's elaborate live shows. The band has been nominated for 3 Grammy Awards and have sold over 40 million records worldwide.[1]
William Frederick "Fred" Durst (born August 20, 1970) is an American musician and film director from Jacksonville, Florida and spent his formative years playing in a number of local bands while mowing lawns, being a record exec and working as a tattoo artist for financial support. Durst is best known as the vocalist of the multi-platinum nu metal band Limp Bizkit, formed in 1994, with whom he has released six studio albums.
