You ended up with a beautiful day for filming. I hope that you consider extending the time on these as things warm up. The 12-14 minute lengths always leave me wanting more, so I end up going back and watching some of your older videos that I've already seen.

I really like the insect hotel , so many insects have been eliminated by pesticides , thus also affecting the bird population that feed on them. And i believe it also affects the wild flowers and plants because it's not just bees that pollinate the flowers , the insects do so as well.

Had a family meal at the Black Rabbit a couple of weeks before the first lockdown.....if only we'd known what was coming ! A great walk to a beautiful little church - one of my favourites. So peaceful. The walk could continue across the river to North Stoke which has a lovely redundant church cared for by The Churches Conservation Trust, and designated as a world heritage site in 1955. Usually the Lord of the Manor, would build a tower for a boy, or a steeple for a girl.
Maybe he had both, so decided to combine them into one ? ?

What a beautiful church with an unusual steeple and the bug hotel is a great idea. I'm usually up higher in the Estate when having a run in the area. I must visit the church when poss. I got caught out with the rain yesterday and was a slipping and sliding on the paths to the West of Fernhurst on a lunch time run. Have you visited Furnace area yet between Fernhurst and Milland? A lot more there than the furnace area you did a Vlog on at Newdigate. Beautiful weather, beautiful walk, beautiful video. I wonder if they used those reeds for thatching in past days? People don't seem to understand that disposable in the mask description does not mean you can just drop them anywhere- it's very sad. The church tower looks almost Italinate in style. While navigating to this video I came upon one of your videos marked from a year ago, so just before covid struck with avengeance, entitled South Downs Lament - saying how deserted the downs was of people and giving what seemed quite a coherent time line to then. How different now with lockdown and our allowed exercise outings! Who could have foreseen the downs would be crowded and buzzing with folks again. You were lucky on this walk to get the solitude!
