Illegal lane filtering in Florida by motorcycle

- Should this be allowed? I get the safety of why motorcycle riders do it. However, what happens if a larger gold wing knocks my side mirror off and doesn't stick around for the report?
Lane Splitting/filtering should be legal everywhere. If someone hits your mirror and takes off it's called a hit and run. Same as a car hitting yours and takes off

Not sure moto riders care too much about "proper," but yes, agreed could be something good.
As long as they're being safe, more power to them
I personally don't take issue, but when it's not a law and people don't expect anyone coming down the center line, accidents happen, and then I wonder if it was all worth it. People these days don't exactly show they are 100% focused on driving.
This should help prevent accidents at red lights. Everyone is stopped and the biker gets to be less exposed to being rear ended.1

@@FireStone_Vids Its dangerous to ride around the cars, get easily side swiped/rear ended. Safest to filter when traffic is stopped and take off at the lights. Its legal to do in most other countries. In Australia its legal under 40km/h.
@arrrrr9831 thanks for replying....on that I have a question do you get alot.of side mirrors knocked off and or crashes caused by this...I don't get offended by them going ahead but as we all have seen moto riders flee in just about any infractions...asking for a friend 😉
And I would rather a motorcycle pass at red light than lane splitting while I am actually moving bc I drive a large truck and seems like if both of us are moving that's higher probability...
@@FireStone_Vids I'm a rider myself and I haven't ever had a problem filtering. Most cars are pretty nice and actually move out of the way if they can.
Lane filtering? I've always known it to be lane splitting.
Lane splitting is when traffic is moving and lane filtering is when you are coming to a stop and the motorcycle filters to the front of the red light.
