I just loved the video, I thought his personality was amazing! And a quick question, giving a monster my name gives power over me for what it said, but what kind of power? what power does my name give the monster? some kind of control? or something more physical? so many questions but no answers...
Well if a monster gets your name they effectively control you they can force you to do things you don’t want to do and make you there servant or plaything

If a human gave a monster a random name and the monster always called them that, wouldn’t said name because valid towards the human since it’s in use? Does phrasing make a difference; Would “You can call me…” have the same result as “My name is…”? Damn now I’m really invested

I have Scottish ancestry so it is a replica of a Scottish clan's broadsword. I won't say the name of the clan on the sword because it has the Scottish version of my Americanized last name. If you looked up Scottish broadsword then you would probably find it. It is 50 1/2" in total length. I'm thrilled that I own a sword sword now. 😁

The effect goes both ways however the human would need to be aware it’s a thing for them to be able to control said monster
