(spoilers ahead if you haven’t read the books or seen the series) …..I have to say I’ve read parts/excerpts from all the books and I don’t think I really like them that much after watching the series….I’m teamConrad and I felt like we got cheated on some good moments between them in the books, I just about gagged in the second book I believe where her and Jer spent so much time together and then when they got engaged and she knew he cheated on her…I know Conrad seemed not so good to her but he never cheated on her and just like in the series his behaviors were due to his mom being sick which only he knew out of all the kids and he didn’t want to bring that down on them especially Belly…..the only thing redeeming in the books for me was that Belly and Conrad did get married finally at the very end but I wish we had more “Conrad and Belly time” leading up to their wedding…….. I thought the letters were so sweet from Conrad to Belly while she was in Spain……and one more thing, don’t get me wrong I do want to see more of Conrad and Belly but I’m not sure what else they can do in another season because it seems like they kinda wrapped it all up in the first season except there was no Deb Ball in the book and Susannah didn’t die yet in the first season……maybe I should go back and read the books front to back but I couldn’t hardly stand the Belly and Jer parts…….Conrad and Belly just give me ALL the feels ❤️❤️❤️❤️

If you watch the whole scene and what led up to it, you can understand…..to me it showed me how jealous Conrad was but I don’t want to say too much to spoil it if you haven’t watched it yet…..one other thing too, Conrad regretted saying it immediately
