- So after arriving late last week, 3650 her first run As I go on a 2 hour trip to pick up 12 ton of ground maize meal..... how will it go?

That's a hell of a clean model.
Great tractor,running sweet 👌have a 3650 putting out 125hp and 3350 putting out 105hp ourselves,weights make a massive difference in comfort with them! Had a 3050 turbo a few years ago with 40k.....was a death trap nearly doing 50k! Like you said they're not really suited for it!
She's a weapon Gerry 👌 new low loader lookin well too , u have a great eye for pickin out machinery hi , spot on ,👌👌the full set weights at front set her off nicley 👍👍
Lovely tractor Gerry it brings back good memories its the first jd I ever drove jumped off mf188 in to the 3650 the difference was night and day.I wouldn't mind having either one now.Lovely machine.
Love the head cam from behind the wheel. Took me back 30 years that shot. Great tractors them 30-40 & 50 series Deere's
Yes it’s a great view. I must start doing more of those head cam shots, I used to do more of them but just haven’t lately. 👌😊

Gerry your dead right about them John Deere’s not being suited for a 40k box,work with a 3350 turbo every summer and it used to do 46k on the road and used to be a death trap etc....,until the hi/low pack was changed from 40k-30k,made a big difference to the tractor safety wise and also a better puller now,your 3650 seems to be pulling like a dream,best of luck with it👍🏻

Cracking tractor Gerry! Even without cab suspension etc they were still a very comfortable tractor to drive I always though!

30k (+change) is plenty for those era tractors, especially longer ones like the 3050 series!! Have driven 3059, Ford 7810, & massey 390T & 399 models. The 390T handled 40k the best of the lot I thought myself with short wheelbase and big ass tyres

It's called a "Piton" hitch Gerry, most common in the french market, looks like you have a slider frame also so you could add another type of hitch like a ring feeder if you wanted

No bother to the 3650 to pull that load. Cab view reminded me of carting silage with a 2140 many years ago. Holding on to wheel when meeting cars hoping she wasnt going to jump out on to of one of them or I wasn't going to get thrown out of the seat 😃😃 Gerry after having the Kubota on trail that time have you decided not to buy a new bigger tractor?

lovely loking tractor a JD 6520 is 40k but dose like 45 and that has no suspension and is so bumpy and bouncy it bounces for fun

Great to see the new vehicle on her maiden voyage for you. She is looking well and 12 ton no bother to her. 35k plenty fast enough too. Funny you mentioned Ardee, I used to haul firelighters out of a factory close by there at Castlebelingham for Supervalu and Centra distribution Ltd, ah a long time ago now just wondering if the factory is still there ?. Gerry don’t bother with a new phone get someone to put a new screen on it depending on what you’ve got it’d be around 40-100 pound for one they prolong the life of it even it only last maybe another 1-2 years

Hello Gerry, I'm Laura farming here in France. Iwas looking at you getting your JD import from France, on about changing the pickup hitch. Don't forget to change the 2 front headlight, because the dims are facing the wrong way, we had that issue with tractors we brought over. Love your videos, keep up the good work 👍
Hi Laura, yes I know what your talking about, the headlights are slightly different on dims, they can shine into on coming traffic. I’ll look into it. Hope alls good in france👌😊

Well Gerry ,, the 3650 seems like a great machine ,,, don’t know much about John Deers ,, but I bought a 3050 last week ,, drove it home ,, lovely tractor to drive , and very comfortable,, everything seems to be working as it should,,,, just wondering what’s your view on them ,, are they trouble free ,, it’s 30km ,, 1989,,, 7000hours ,, standard lift , not high lift ,,, cheers cathal ,,,

it really depends, tractor scrap yards can be good place to get bits you need. but I’d always check with your local JD dealer and price bits there. some parts can be quite cheap. no point giving 50 quid for something second hand if you can buy new for 70. also nick young tractor parts, and www.johnconaty.com/ are good

Go on, how’d you get the trailer on the hitch? Loadall? I’ve seen pics of those hitches but I think a lot use the rockinger hitches like I had on the unimogs

Do you use molasses in the feed for your cows?
Some times jack, we also feed a pot ale syrup sometimes too, it’s a by product from making beer.
