- Descending from a legendary musical family from the sacred city of Varanasi (Benares), Northern India.
The two brothers have been performing together for over 40 years on the world stage - they are exemplars of traditional khyal vocal artistry and embody the deep millenia old cultural backdrop of the holy city.
A wonderful performance by the brothers to mark the end of the famous Lord Hanuman Temple festival in Varanasi for an 8am concert.
Raga Bhatiyar - a scale for dawn, the early morning.

Aap ko sadar pranam gurujiyon, mai aapke bhakt hun, bhakti ke siwa mere pass kuchh nahi hai. Jivan dhanya hua last 40 years aapko sunte sunte.
Most Romantic Bhatiyaar one can ever hear...sargam permutations.. O my goodness ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
It is NOT romantic. It has deeper meaning connecting one to God
To sing bhatiyar is itself tough and they have created a small heaven here singing this . ..what a mood and rendition ❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏
The best. Meaning of the poetry in this raga is stunning but real. Can I know full meaning ?
The greatest legend of Indian classic music I was fortunate to see them in my AIR studio.
Very very meaningful.
Baap re baap itni gehrai bhatiyar me

..aap hamari bhavnao me hamesha amar rahenge🙏😭
😭😭🙏🙏
Thank you for putting this video up. But sadly it's not the full concert.
What a soul stirring performance !! Blessed to be listening to this rendition 🙏🏼
Superb...request somebody to inform when next sankat mochan samaroh is likely to be held in Varanasi in advance. Wud like to attend
Pernam Guru g
अद्भुत प्रस्तुति 🙏🙏👏👏👏👏
जय श्री संकट मोचन जी महाराज
kindly post the rest of the concert
Very rare to hear ati vilambit
laya in recent times. Aptly justified by the Meistroes with early morning meditative raag. So point of realisation that time slot not only has bearing on swaras and raaga but also on laya. So much inclusively built is our Indian Classical music. 🙏🙏
🙏🙏🙏
Vilambit Ektaal
Drut Teentaal
Amazing
Stunning morning concert! Never forget it
Prannam bade guru ji
A small correction in the video. It is vilambit ektaal, cycle of 12 beat🙏
It's not vilambit ektaal.. It's tritaal(teentaal) ati vilambit laya
@@saraswatikushwah6646 Sorry ma'am, if you can count the beats carefully, it is indeed ektaal ati vilambit.
@@maanasmohan9696 no it's teentaal 16 beats please listen again carefully
Those 4 beats are the fill in the blanks in the aavartan...Pls listen carefully
We can listen tirakit which is not present in teentaal, it's ektaal
@@saraswatikushwah6646 it's vilambit ektaal. 48 beats.
RIP 🙏🙏🙏🏽
v.nice
Thanks.
Sadar pranam
Are they related to Bade Gopal ji of Banaras in some way?🤔
🙏🙏🙏
....wah wah wah Ji.......
Amazing
🙏🙏🙏
10% Sajan Mishra.90% Rajan Mishra .Uneven Jugalbandi
there is no comparison Arvind ji,
One is Guru and the other one his most senior disciple.. how fortunate for the disciple to learn and experience his Guru's magic 🙏🏻😊
@@dresh101 learning from Guru is always behind curtains/closed doors.
While performing a jugalbandi, things should be otherwise, with full mutual respect. A mutual respect & balance would speak volumes for the greatness of the senior artist.
What depth! What a fantastic Bhatiyar.
