- I have played over 12 hours of this brand new cozy game and today, I am sharing my honest opinions on whether this is something you should play!

It really looks beautiful! However, just like so many others, I wish you could play 3rd person. It’s so much nicer and customizing your character is fun and really makes the game feel individualized. @fleurs, thank you for your review!!!

The day being rushed by that little clock made me feel stressed out. It felt rushed and unsatisfying to get one thing done and then have to start a new day. I played for 2 hours and was on day 13... I just wish the days were longer and / or not timed. Like how hogwarts legacy has their game in real time. I would've iust liked to be able to choose when to go to sleep/ start a new day. As well as a quick way to organize tabs and storage boxes outside.
@@jaylenehill6796 Interesting! I didn't think the days were bad at all and you can still do stuff once the day was over. You don't have to go straight to the bus.
I love it, but there a few thing i would add: vegetables and fruits for sure and also a way to auto sort the stored items in the seed/cutting storage. Last of all, can you optimise the xbox series x version it is slightly janky right now, but overall a fantastic game.
I am in agreement on the pros and cons. I would add though I quickly ran out of space for flowers. I didn't realize that there was a cap. I hadn't opened the other areas yet in story mode and It was frustrating to have to remove flowers that I had painstakingly place and loved to then remove them to add a new variant. I have not even started with the decor yet I am kind of worried to stumble into the same situation.....

I know it’s a long shot for this kind of change, but I would love this game if it weren’t first person perspective! 😭 my eyes can’t handle it, I get super dizzy, and I know many others are the same

Loved your review & agree with the suggestions you made - hopefully the designers will listen! I also ended up running out of space to plant seeds & it caught me totally off guard. I’ve read this is on purpose but now I have lots of empty garden space so hopefully they let us plant more at some point!
I haven't got to that point yet. Hopefully, they do up the limit soon!!
Maybe you won’t run out! You did a beautiful job of using the decorations so now I have ideas of how to incorporate those better instead of so many flowers!

Ahhh so happy to see you made a video about this game! I love the graphics, the colors remind me of watercolor, but like a lot of commenters first person games make me sick to my stomach. I wish we could make a little avatar and use them to tend to the garden, and then take beautiful pics! For 50 USD idk if I’ll play it enough since it’s first person
Hey Ana! Yeh character customisation would be adorable in this game! That sounds sensible, it is a lot to pay! Hopefully it will hit the sales at some point.

This game is a lot of fun and is relaxing and satisfying to play but I hit the plant limit early. I then unlocked the other two areas thinking it would unlock more space for flowers and it was still maxed out. I hope they can add a patch or something to allow for more plants.
I think graphics are beautiful like a watercolour.
Looks good. Will have to wait for it to either come to game pass or drop below $25.
Looks cute but I don't like first person and there is something about it that feels off to me visually? Idk how to describe it? Like a muddying of the colors? Idk. But I really dislike first person cause I want to see my character sit and enjoy the spaces I create and when I'm in first person it makes me feel outside of everything, if that makes sense. So sadly, I don't think this game is for me. :(

Seems like a $10 increase on Switch which actually is normal for a price increase. Unfortunately it's really sad to see price increases which is why I just end up buying games that are just digital and don't have phys editions on my Steam to play on my Deck. With that being said, I really am not fond of first person games but I would be interested to see your decorated farm/layout and that could maybe influence for me to buy it
For some reason, playing in first person gives me motion sickness so I don't play them. I would love this game and buy it otherwise.
i would love more physical copies but i guess digital is the way forward.

I just bought this game. It looks relaxing, not my usual game type. I thought I would give it a go...I am a sucker for nature. I bought it on Instant Gaming for $18 USD. I love buying there, usually much cheaper, and on all platforms. Cheers!

I like the the idea of this game and it does look good (especially in first person) but I wish it was just a gardening sim; instead of the grindy, side quests and fetch quests. I'm so burned out on farming sims since Paleo Pines... :?
Edit: I don't agree that the Switch "isn't as good now", the problem is most 3rd party games aren't optimised properly which is why they run so badly.
That’s a fair comment! I guess you could ignore most of the side quests.
About the switch, maybe I worded it wrong. I still think the switch is good, it just can’t handle most of the newer games.

If you could only pick one between this and botany manor, which one would you choose?
I think they are quite different games. Botany Manor is more puzzled base where this is more a farming sim. I would say Botany Manor if you want some puzzles and more of a story but this one if you just want to grow cute flowers and decorate!
@@Fleurs_ thank you for the input! I saw a few early access videos on Botany Manor and my 2 braincells are getting scared it's heavily puzzle based. Now I feel like I'll just opt for garden life first 🥲

The graphics of this game confuses my eyes. The depth is so weird and the whole game don't hsve the same kind of graphics/artstyle so my eyes don't know where to focus.
How was the gameplay on Steam Deck? I only play on my deck
It wasn't too bad at all! It was a bit slower moving around then on pc but if you haven't played PC you wouldn't notice that but the controls were easy. It did crash for me once and I wasn't sure what caused that. I didn't really try decorating, so not sure how that would be.

I have a few problems, one is the clunky menus that involve a lot of pointing and clicking and not much space per screen. I have inflamed joints and muscles due to chronic illness, not helped by early arthritis. The menu system really needs to be streamlined and made easier somehow.
I also have a hearing impairment, there needs to be an easier and better way to see bugs. Not just that but the buzzing sound triggers both tinnitus as well as my autism.
I do wish game developers in general put a bit more thought into people who are disabled in some way.
Accessibility is definitely important in games! I agree about seeing the bugs, I did struggle at times!

I've actually preordered the physical copy for my Switch, and there are DLC items I'm seeing in the E-Shop for this game. Is it too much to hope the DLC is included on the physical cartridges? These add-ons do look gorgeous and worth treating yourself to, either way!
