Great video. We are so glad to see Brian at work wrenching on a bike again after so long. It is truly a pleasure to watch a Master at work and we miss him doing so. Hand Brian a wrench more often please.
GPR exhaust is much underrated…Had 2 cans installed (Carbon Fiber version) on Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 and them things was ROARING DEEP!!! The only downside was finding buffles for them cans…it was near impossible!
Great comparison. Although you can never totally appreciate an exhaust sound on UA-cam it still sounds awesome. For example the zx10r you built sounded cool on UA-cam but when I got it to my place and I turned it on for the first time in person I about doodied my pants. Not only was the sound unbelievable but I could actually feel the rumble, the cracks pops and gurgles are just music to my ears. Anyway the new exhaust is awesome. Did it need a ecu flash or a power commander or anything?
I got a full Akrapovic on mine and the sound of that triple with the pops and bangs mannnn. Doesn't get better than that. For me personally I prefer the sound of the triple rather than my R6 which was more of a lighter sound.
I love how it sounds now. Especially on downshifts... I wish all bikes sounded that good :D I was going to say Luke found a way to not crash the hoverboard, and then...
Hey Chase, thanks for the video. I have a 17 FZ09 and am looking for exhaust systems. I'll definitely put this on the list. Has B done anything with the ECU for this system?
I have a 2015 FZ09 and I've been splitting hairs over an exhaust for months. I'm glad someone finally did some fly-bys with the GPR, how does it compare to the M4 in volume and bass and was this with baffle in or out?
@@briancruz4343 Thanks for the info that helps. I know some say they have two baffles, a traditional baffle and a 2nd "baffle" that looks like a very basic cat that goes in the mid pipe. Do you know the difference in volume with and without those?
Awesome choice on the GPR Brian! Sounds beastly! As a heftier man myself, I feel it's safe to say that the suspension may need to have some springs that are designed for a full blooded American not some 150lb Japanese kid installed. That'll make a huge difference to the ride quality.
Brian in his natural element wrenching on bikes is epic to watch! Get in get out . Great sounding exhaust. Now pricing this out was that a factor in getting that over anything else?
Just mounted my GPR slip on for my Kawasaki ER5 a few months ago. A bit of a hassle cutting the original tube, but damn it sounds good now. Really nice with the removable db killer!
Dose the mt09 require p.c. or ecu flash when you change the exhaust ? Because with this bike slip on is not an option, you pretty much have to change the whole thing, and regarding the ecu or power commander I heard multiple opinions but still no solid answer.... can some 1 help plz ?
My two cents. Anytime you open up breathing on the exhaust side, when stock bikes are typically tuned slightly lean for emisions reasons, a retune of ECU should be done. Preferably on a Dyno with an AF analyzer.
I have an open exhaust on my mt09 from Scorpion. My dealer and the company itself said that it doesn't need a tune unless you change your intake. A tune will always be better though for more power etcetera, but for street use this works just fine for me! Edit: the bike runs pretty lean from the factory. If you live in Europe (I think it's not available in the US) you can make it run richer in the DIAG menu, look it up if you want to know more about it. It worked really good for me!
Ecu flash is your best bet. As stated above they run very lean from the factory so itll absolutely help. VCyclenut is agreed to be the go to guy when it comes to these bikes. Plus with a reflash you can do things like turn the radiator fans on earlier and eliminate the governors and such.
I just want to say you three are my favorite people. Now with that said, that is an amazing sound on the new exhaust. I would want to rev all the time.
Would this muffler fit onto any pipes? 🤔 my used xsr came with fake sc projects which is too damn loud, so I’m trying to find ways to minimize the noise! Any suggestions??
such a perfect timing i am on a look out for a new exhaust and i want a deep tone one and this sounds pretty damn good a bit to loud but deep enough for my liking =)
well technically you dont have to. on the mt 09 you can also set the ecu to give more fuel trough the dash options. when you are going to mod and/ or swap air filter then its highly recommended to flash coz it will run very lean.
Chase asked which exhaust do you guys like better? Wait! I'm thinking most here love motorcycles? Most of us are going to think this through long and hard aren't we. I know I'm still thinking!
I like how the captions say music when you rev the bike with the gpr exhaust
Mr B has a cool bike! Thanks for sharing the triple orchestra.
“Ahhhh the crackling noises are awesome!”. Love when this guy, who’s normally the calm one, gets excited like a kid in a candy store
hahaha
The M4 exhaust on my FZ09 made such a huge difference. Definitely feels snappier. That GPR does sound pretty good as well.
Great video. We are so glad to see Brian at work wrenching on a bike again after so long. It is truly a pleasure to watch a Master at work and we miss him doing so. Hand Brian a wrench more often please.
B was Smiling ear to ear you can see it through the helmet.. Awesome exhaust I have a Fz07 with a M4 and it sounds like a Beast. Great video team
Nathaly Carney I also have an fz-07 with the m4 exhaust. Best thing I bought for it. Sounds so good.
It’s like day and night. Sounds so much more beastly.
That's a good sounding exhaust. I'm still trying to decide between M4, twobrothers and now this GPR.
GPR exhaust is much underrated…Had 2 cans installed (Carbon Fiber version) on Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 and them things was ROARING DEEP!!!
The only downside was finding buffles for them cans…it was near impossible!
Very nice bike and exhaust upgrade Brian! Just wait til you ride at night and people start seeing your flames.

Santa is happy when he got nice sound in his yamaha mt09 short man with big belly full speed on the gas
I got a full Akrapovic on mine and the sound of that triple with the pops and bangs mannnn. Doesn't get better than that. For me personally I prefer the sound of the triple rather than my R6 which was more of a lighter sound.
It's not a stealth motorcycle anymore.GPR exhaust really opens up and sounds great!
I have a 2018 mt-09 in which I am currently researching aftermarket exhaust systems. Thx for the video. Keep up the great work!
Absolutely better than stock - any link as to where to get one???
I had the M4 on my FZ09. Ugh such a good sound! I dig the GPR too though!! Was amazed Brian had an Mt.
May be the best exhaust demo avail on youtube. Sure a thumb
I love how it sounds now. Especially on downshifts... I wish all bikes sounded that good :D
I was going to say Luke found a way to not crash the hoverboard, and then...
PLEASE DO THIS FOR MORE BIKES
Hey Chase, thanks for the video. I have a 17 FZ09 and am looking for exhaust systems. I'll definitely put this on the list. Has B done anything with the ECU for this system?
GRP is a good system... i like the fit of the Akro system better, it’s a bit loud tho
The Akrapovic Carbon is wayyyy better. Got one on mine, looks and sounds better.
Brian Cruz what specific model is this? Seems like they have a bunch of them on the site.
Yeah man do some more MT09 exhaust videos. I and the MT09 community would really appreciate it!
Didn't realize Brian is a fellow FZ-09-er ("MT"). Always felt a special connection with him that I couldn't describe until now XD

This video couldn't have come out on a better day. I'm picking up my 2018 MT09 up next week. After this video, the GPR exhaust is high on the list! :)
Did you get the exhaust?
@@furiousjammin1985 no I went for a full arrow system. You can see more pictures on my instagram if you would like to see it.
The Sound of a *Triple* 🤩 even stock, they all sound good
Mr. B, any plans on flashing the ECU??? Great Sound, tho.
whats does that do?
Seriously tasty!!! I'm looking at buying an MT-09 Tracer!
dude .... whats the performance increase?
Is the dB-Killer installed? Asking for a friend in germany. Bike sounds awesome!
Its a sin not to change that baby! Love the roar! Go for it!
Did he ever get a tune? Sounds like the bike is running lean with all of those crackles and pops.
Im happy they arent working on the boring panigale, good content.
Jesus that new exhaust sounds beautiful and dayyumm it looks good
Brian in his natural element wrenching on bikes is epic to watch! Get in get out . Great sounding exhaust. Now pricing this out was that a factor in getting that over anything else?
I got a GPR exhaust because of its low price compared to others like Mivv and Akra, saved me quite a lot and I really enjoy the sound of the GPR
Test drove an MT09 and wasnt a fan of the riding position, but godDANG does the crossplain engine sound awesome.
Will you get your ECU flash???????????? This is the main question that all FZ/MT 09 owner wants to know !
Just mounted my GPR slip on for my Kawasaki ER5 a few months ago. A bit of a hassle cutting the original tube, but damn it sounds good now. Really nice with the removable db killer!
Upvoted for Brian
Like the exhaust sound. Tell Brian to get those rearsets black...bike will look soooo much better. I PC'd my stockers for around $100.
best video in a while
Had a GPR on my previous Honda VFR, made such a difference
Was looking at one for my Tiger, bu the GPR's didnt look good on it
The sound of the triple is soooooooo good
It's definitely better than stock but I prefer the Yoshi exhaust more. Way more grunt!
such a big difference between stock and the GPR
Awesome video. Best exhaust video I've seen (and heard!)
I have a 2016 fz09 with M4 Slip on exhaust I love it!
Had a gpr dual for years now on my ktm 990. Good stuff, still looks good too
Does this require a tune or can you just install and rock and roll?
Solid Bike and Exhaust!! am I correct in thinking Luke may have worked on some of the editing on this upload? Good Job!!
Not this specific one though he is getting really good at cutting music sections!!

Hearting your answer to raise it to the top so you get a better chance at an answer!

Dont forget to put in block off plates otherwise will be impossible to tune correctly
Ecu flash is your best bet. As stated above they run very lean from the factory so itll absolutely help. VCyclenut is agreed to be the go to guy when it comes to these bikes. Plus with a reflash you can do things like turn the radiator fans on earlier and eliminate the governors and such.
A different type of video, I love it
The headlight lookin nice 😍😍
I have a 17 been researching exhausts myself thanks for the video what other mods on there
Man, i was hoping to see Brian pop a wheelie with the new exhaust.
I want to see Chase and Brian on a track day.
Some kind of California Superbike School, with Dave Moss attending.
Nice Vid! More exhausts for the MT09 pls..
Cool change of pace with this video :) Can't wait to get my hands on an mt-09
Heck yeah Brian, sounds schweeeeet
I just want to say you three are my favorite people. Now with that said, that is an amazing sound on the new exhaust. I would want to rev all the time.
Triples sound great
That 3 cylinder sound tho!
Is it just me or does Brian make that bike look like a baby's bike? He got them big muscles
I'm nearby, and have an XSR900 with the Yoshimura R-77. Let me know if you're interested in hearing it!
Beautiful sound Love it
@chaseontwowheels I have an FJ-09 16 with an aftermarket exhaust that is not very common but loud af. If you want to look at it, lmk!!
Would this muffler fit onto any pipes? 🤔 my used xsr came with fake sc projects which is too damn loud, so I’m trying to find ways to minimize the noise! Any suggestions??
such a perfect timing i am on a look out for a new exhaust and i want a deep tone one and this sounds pretty damn good a bit to loud but deep enough for my liking =)
sure sounds better
Great video, definitely need more like this!!
You should do a review on the 2020 s1000rr
Wow that sounds awesome
Be interested to see what else Brian does to it
Chase was you going to hang out with walterrific today?
Can you show me a link to this exact exhaust?
What turn signals are those?
I like the aftermarket exhaust better
Do you now have to upload a new map on a motorcycle?.... Because of the new Exhaust
well technically you dont have to. on the mt 09 you can also set the ecu to give more fuel trough the dash options. when you are going to mod and/ or swap air filter then its highly recommended to flash coz it will run very lean.
The exhaust sounds way better.
P.S lol on the fall😄😄👍
I mean if you do start buying more to test them I think it would be cool to give away one to some one with a fz09 😉
Brooo plz tell me what is the name of that exhaust
Brian has an FZ-09?!
Awesomeness
Love it brothaa
Anybody know the song he used for taking the exhaust off? Name, etc. Thanks!
awesome sound :-) thanks vinny
Sick!

#outrocrew I’m digging the GPR exhaust sound...way better (more gooder) than stock!
I like the sound of the new exhaust and luke. better learn how to drive a hover board
I could tell it was Brian after I saw the stance
Yes it sounds better. BUT. I still like stock. And my neighbours aint complaining :D
more MT09 content!!!
I think I might prefer it stock...
Could have also provided weight savings....gpr sounds much better
What is the model??
GPR Low-mount full system
The suspension is having a hard time! He needs stronger springs.
Chase asked which exhaust do you guys like better? Wait! I'm thinking most here love motorcycles? Most of us are going to think this through long and hard aren't we. I know I'm still thinking!
I don't think that there are many exhaust systems that are not better than stock.
