@@FeelMyFerretThe Mayan😂 I can tell you’ve only been a fan since somewhere between now and 2010. Glastonbury 2004 is their best ever gig. This Reading gig shits all over the Mayan as well anyway.
Bellamy was on fire that night. Look at him jumping and moving all around, he was so energic. This is clearly one of their best performance, they never failed to put a good show, because they're tight. Muse is really a solid band, musically. What a band.
I remember being here. When they came in with Knights of Cydonia they had just released it, and i had never heard of it. I was never a die hard Muse fan, I'm not to this day. However. When they blasted in with this song it was like an otherworldly experience. Something you don't need drugs to experience. When the text came on the screen for the lyrics the place erupted and I sang along with such vigour it was almost as if I knew the song already. It was a truly great moment in music, because I know it was not just me. The entire crowd was entranced by what was happening. And then we all buggered off to our tents, watched people do conga lines on the back of firetrucks in the mud and generally had a great time.
I was there too that night. Enthralled like no gig before or after. Like the horseman of the apocalypse riding over Caversham hill come to take us all away and willingly did I follow.
I was there too, pretty much at the front. Still super excited about the Arctic Monkeys concert that has just ended. And then when Knights of Cydonia started all these crazy waves started - my feet never touched the ground all through the song - we were all just swaying in the sea of people. It was insane. I managed to "swim" a bit backwards where I could watch the show on my two feet - but with my head still in the clouds, never knowing that this performance, this experience, is even possible.
i admit i am a rocker boy but to play so good guitar and sing even more well makes Matt Belamy a fantastic frontman as i ever want to be close to his singing style than i could train to do to. and maybe i like to listen a lot of muse and nowadays i am turning 40. and this bassist, even was a drum player in a part of his career, did you know - then he used to know matt and the drummer to complete a real star: MUSE was complete. really digging their live stuff its all well done just A Muse
i remember being at that performance - 16 and in complete awe of them. i wasn't and still am not a huge or even casual muse fan. but still remains best live performance of my life. they were made to perform at festivals. starlight and map of the problematique were beautiful
My best Muse gig was the Leeds 2006 one the night after this. We got CE instead of Bliss. I'm gutted the official footage was of this night and not Leeds as I got right to the front and it was incredible, lightning and all. I know people often say their Glasto sets are the pinnacle, but for me, this was.

I saw Muse in concert on September 19, 2006, so less than a month after this performance. They played at what was then named the Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas. The Nokia has between 6,000 and 7,000 seats. Imagine this Reading show put on indoors! It was so LOUD; the music and visuals overwhelmed the senses. It was fantastic.
Incredible. I was at Leeds this year and they closed the festival Sunday, arctic monkeys were on before muse and went off early. So we got an extra long set! It completely pissed it down and the crowd seemed tiny which made it more intimate. Still remains in my top gigs 🤟
@@MrArmface didn't realise we got extra! I was at the front row, and it was my all time favourite gig to this day. The storm was something else! Gutted all the footage is from Reading. Not many people filming back then.
