Sure, my Grandma bought a place there in 1963; a summer bungalow on a 10K sqft lot. Pop would drive us all out there from Queens after school ended, and we'd spend the entire Summer there with Mom. Our place was within walking distance of Beach 5, at the South end of Huntington Dr. There was a big sandy beach with a lifeguard, a great swing set, and a brick "comfort station".
