Kid is a straight G. Nyjah is a G for recognizing his impact and giving back. I’m happy being older that people in those sports are able to make big money like other sports, they deserve it for going all out in something with no guarantee.
Have you tried to find a board less than 8 lately? Earley 2000s I skated a 7.5... when I went to get a new setup after a 15 year break... it was all 8 and up lol. It's not crazy if it's all he knows.

Skate board kids are some of the toughest kids out there. They take the hits and keep getting back up and doing it again. That's truly a metaphor for life, life is going to knock you down. But if you can look up, never stay down. Always get up, and hit life harder than it hit you. Mad respect to the little man.
Besides hits like that last one, as long as you understand how to land and manage your speed, it's usually not that painful. I skated all throughout 5th-11th grades and never got seriously injured.

Glad he’s wearing a helmet. I fell skateboarding and hit my head doing a pop shuv it to 50-50 grind on a a box like a foot high and half high. Landed right on my head and made my brain bleed and move half way over. I stopped skateboarding after that. Ruined my life. So glad he’s being safe

This day changed his life. He's out here putting in work and the Micheal Jordan of skating showed up. All real skaters know this kid can do that rail. This was awesome. I think Nyjah losing Soty so unfairly may have been the best thing to happen to him. Soty became the lamestream mainstream. Nyjah was always the real Skater.

I'm a long time skateboarder and avid fan of the sport, but little dude almost hurt himself due to the "authority" of famous figure. Imagine your child seriously injures themselves because they are trying to impress someone, and that much older and wiser person is advising they continue despite being hurt.
Also Nyjah is not for the kids.. dude is one of the most self centered, careless and rude persons I've witnessed. He is obviously has some issues from the past that are bound to resurface and show his true self.
Man… I remember being out at a spot until 3am, clothes ripped to hell, bleeding and completely soaked in sweat just to get one trick. Kids still out there putting in the work get all the respect.
I grew up skating at Nyjah Huston’s family ran indoor skatepark in woodland California. His whole family skated incredibly well and they were all just kids. Nyjah was probably 10 years old doing Tre flips down the nine stair & his 2 other brothers Abby & Jahmai were absolutely shredding too. Great memories there, the skatepark was called frontline & I even skated in a competition at that park & did an all nighter they called a lockdown and they had pizza, raffles, great music & most importantly skateboarding! Thank you to the Houston family for being such great people and giving the community in woodland such great times. RIP FRONTLINE SKATEPARK
