Them babies run WAY LONGER than10k. They run 4ever! Ask me how I know since I own 2 CT90 Trails. One 68 and the other a 73. Both running perfectly. Had em since the early 90s. OFFICIAL TRANSPORT of the Australian Post Office! Great scooter to pack going to bike/car meets, vacation, campgrounds or just around town. 100 MPG easy!
I have a 1970 model with a front rack. Pretty much THE must have utilitarian motorcycle. Cheap to maintain, sips on gas, and can be started by hand it kicks over so easy. Pretty much aquired mine by accident, had no clue what they where, just that it looked modest and easy to ride which is what i was looking for. Didnt find out how easy it was to care for, its many-uses and fan club until later lol.
I have 1972 with 1100 miles had it for over 50 years my dad got this brand new in 72 for me still so much fun to ride my son has 1971 sl-70 he’s only 22 years old and he loves that little bike he has a brand new 125 crate motor on it with the original sl-70 motor in storage 8:578:57
My first bike was a64 ct 90 trail & street honda ! I loved that bike ! Been ridin for 55 years now ! Just put away my leathers as a-holes are trying to kill me on their smart ass phones ! I would ride every day as I have 4 bikes in my stable now. Bastards have ruined a great thing with stupid technology ! Smart phones but stupid people !
Never had one never ridden one but I really want one come on my favorite is the 75 it’s got the cool little gas tank on the back but still has the high and low switchable gearbox. You might know about this but I’ve heard a couple of people say that globally this was the number one selling motorcycle ever and I do know when you look at video from places like India and Indonesia and all over the world and poor countries need her all over the road they’re everywhere and I’m not sure how to figure it out but I think it’s very probable and they just say that this model sold more than any other motorcycle model ever.
Good for 10,000 miles? in the 90's I got a 1970's Honda 50 cheap for the fields and learning(I wish I had known their future value) but it had 56,000+ miles on it and it went on to take awful abuse for about a year. It wasn't even the engine that gave out at the end, let's just say that the bike couldn't ride straight after what happened.
Have you found a new carb that will fit a 1969 ct90 k1, I have tried two different carbs and neither one had bolt holes that would line up to the intake tube going to the head.my intake bolt holes are 2 3/4 but the two new carbs bolt holes were 2 7/8 at center.
Cool Honda ! That is the bike/ engine that put Honda on the map i inherited my Dads old Honda 90 street bike its all original and has always been indoors since the 60s ! Ive seen the bikes you guys are selling off on Ebay and i knew you were Doing the museum i do have it on my list to come by ive been interested in the old Cubs and trail bikes much more as time goes on a large reason is i suffered a major brain trauma a few years ago have done tons of rehab and therapy the one thing that is still a issue is i have some paralysis on my left side of my body so operating a clutch lever is out and ive been wondering if i could turn the old Honda into a automatic or semiauto without losing the stock motor or look , my first thought was to possibly source out a Chinese clone motor or use one of their trannies but i understand that those transmissions aren't very good or hold up well ? I had seen the Lifan brand ones pretty cheap online and i knew that the stock Kickstarter may not work from the Honda due to some frame clearance issues and i had hoped that it may have been possible to use a Honda semi auto clutch basket in my standard transmission but the cases are slightly different so that won't work now I'm looking at how the Cubs work and would they be of any value parts wise which is what brought me to your channel i immediately reckonized the building from the photos on Ebay with the bikes you guys are listing online as many of those are ones i like too ive owned and ridden several Hondas in my life that have been good bikes but this oldie that was my Dads Just because it was his makes it very cool and i do like the infamous Honda 90 engine that I believe is still the most popular engine in the World or at least it was at one time ? You guys being more of the history gurus of motorcycles would know the facts its obvious in the video you like the engine and setups of the old Honda's ive kind of been fascinated on the fuel economy of them and that in a time that that wasn't necessarily the primary goal how great it was even in todays terms perhaps it isn't really a high speed high performance bike but for what it is its ok
I kept mileage logs one summer that I rode daily and it did indeed average 100 mpg. I bet it is around 90 mpg now. On rides where I pin the throttle wide open for 10+ miles, it gets less but still in the 90 mpg range. Check my home page for a beach video where It does get much less mpg.
Ok I've seen several of his sales pitch with these bikes, he says the same thing over and over like "this baby rips" 1969 CT90 rips? Really? How about simply saying the acceleration is strong or the pick up is strong "where are you gonna find a bike like this" as if these bike can't be found in the same if not better condition elsewhere. He's use the same cliche language. Come on man you can do better.

My 2007 ct110 is an ex postal service mail delivery bike. It has over 30,000km (20,000 miles) and still runs like new

We now have the 125 ct
@Black March Did you get one yet?
@Black March I have not tried yet but might be getting a 2022 model year.
Wow it's pretty quiet too.

I litteraly drove thru my house in it. Very nice bikes!
What did they rent years ago in the Bahamas? ...a similar Yamaha?
Our postal system has been using ct for years
I have a 68, the breather is in the front so the carburetor is backwards from your 69 and I cannot find a carburetor ?
Esta CT 90 está com o rpm do motor acelerado ou a marcha lenta dela é assim mesmo ?
I didn't know Sammy Hagar sold motorcycles.
that thing is fuqqin sweet, you still have it in stock homeboy!?
50 years old, not 40

Friend, look up amstar rocky 49
honda trail 90 is automatic clutch you still have to shift with foot but no clutch lever
the left hand lever, was that the rear brake?
It is, in the 1978 and 1979 models, there is only the right hand brake for the front and the only backbrake it the foot brake on the right
@@SleezyMcZeelius strange..I have just bought a CT50 looks mostly original except for front forks, they look more like CG125
@@Yelwas chinese aftermarket sells cg125 forks as ct90 forks, I got mine off Ebay for $75.
10,000 Miles? Ever thought about an oil change?
That thing flew
i still have mine 1970 K2 model 1800 miles, runs like a champ, will go anywhere like a billy goat
I'd feel scared trying to merge into decent speed traffic. Seems slow to accelerate
indeed! I have a 1969 up for sale now, selling because these bikes are dangerous in city driving due to lack of power.
They are fine for farm use, city riding (downtown) and around camp sites. Highway use is no recommended.
Close to 100mpg...........60-80.
Jeeze..what....
If you think that's funny I have the Honda brochure that says up to 200 miles per gallon
There is a secondary fuel tank you can get that adds another 100 mile range.
Love the CT90s.
He is probably bigger than you.
My guy your audio was horribly out of sync
That bike is worth $40,000 easy
Mines better ...Ill sell ya mine for $50K......lmao
What a rip off! I'll sell you mine for 35K. 😆
Heaps of 110 s in aus
Probably cheap too. I heard the post office used to use them. If i could figure out a cheap way to get one back to the US i certainly would.
Rob the postal service still use them to this day. I have a 2007 ct110 with over 30,000km (20,000miles) and it still runs perfect
