Beautiful CJ8!! Thanks for sharing your jeep with us. I love the modifications and how you are careful to try retain the original look. I just retired and I am now looking for an 8! Keep Jeepin'
I just came across your channel. I bought my first Scrambler back in 1983 it was a 1982. I now have a 1981 I bought 3 years ago. Back in 83 when I bought my scrambler, I had asked the salesman if this was a CJ-8. He said no its a Scrambler, there is a difference. I see you have the CJ-8 badge on yours. what you option on the CJ-8 name.
The "Scrambler" from my research was a sticker package in the beginning. All of them are a CJ-8. The Scrambler sticker became so common that everyone started calling them all Scramblers. The name stuck, so now they are all known as CJ-8 Scrambler.
I just picked up my 1982 Scrambler about a month ago and I can't wait to get started on it

Nice!
Do you have to go around to the west side of the Oquirrh’s to explore those mountains? I wasn’t aware of a SL Valley side access.
Generally you do have to go around, other than Butterfield Canyon when it's open.
