So Battle Beast plz most of their songs in E standard tuning? If I’m correct that’s a massive sound with E standard.
@@fredbrandl880 yes! They use the same formula that Evanescence invented way back in 2000s. One guitar player plays in E Standard on 6 string, the other one plays in B Standard (either on 6 string baritone guitar or on 7 string guitar). Thus - the sound becomes more interesting due to the different chords voicing
@@maxmolodtsov unreal! Would have thought they dropped tuning .. but hey maiden and Priest in the early years played standard . So I get it . Thanx for the response.
@@fredbrandl880 well, Sabaton do the same. Two guitars, one in E, second one is 7 string. And Sabaton’s music is very similar to Battle Beast.

Great video! I love to see this type of stuff...and now I have to check your band too. Did you get good quality live material for your band as well, because BB was streaming every concert? There are not many bands (if any) who does this to their fans, and I really love BB for doing that 🙂
Also watched your footage from your tour with Stratovarius & Sonata. Matias have been one of my favorite guitarists for so long time, way before he joined Stratovarius. There is amazing video of him playing at Finnish guitar heroes concert (matias kupiainen medley). Must watch for all shredders.
As much as I enjoy to watch these, there is a downside for me. I realize how stupid I have been for whole my life with my guitar playing. You don't probably need any encouragement or motivational speech, but here is my example, how not to do things. I'm now almost 48 years old, and I haven't been playing in well over a decade, almost 15 years now, after my band departed (it's mostly because of all my injuries and bad shoulders, not because that band broke up). I started playing much later than many of my friends, at around 16yo, and I tried really hard to catch all of them. I practised up to 6 even 8 hours per day, probably over 1000 hours in my first year. Then after 1½ years or so I stopped, because I felt I wasn't going to catch my friends, and I still s*ck...and girls and cars were more interesting than guitar. But in reality, I was already a better rhythm guitarist than most of them. I just thought I couldn't play solos (= I couldn't play sweep picking or really fast solo stuff). I could play along with (at the time) all Metallica's 5 albums in a row, almost every song, downpicking! Many of the solos too. I was way better than I thought, but I still somehow believed I was not good enough to go into any band.
Anyway, I was always comparing myself to the best, and it killed the joy. I always played few months, and then I had something better to do. I also thought I was practising hard, but in reality I was just jamming along with those CD's (not even trying to perfect my technique). There is nothing wrong with that, but if one really wants to get better and faster in any sport, they need to train harder and faster. Be focused and determined. And find yourself a good teacher, I had none, not even UA-cam. In addition, I had to go to army, and I needed to sell my precious Jackson RR1 to get some money. That was like a finalizing kick to my nuts, and after the army I was without a guitar for many years, probably feeling that I was too old to get to the level I wanted 🤣
I only had one real band in this whole time, and that was around 2007-2009. I was already 30 then, but I was still getting better, and the band was getting better. I even learnt some sweep picking...finally 🤣 But I was the only one who tried to make things happen, and it had to end, because it was too stressful for me and my family. So that is my "sad" story. I could have been pretty decent guitarist, but I did everything wrong. I still have a job, wife, three adult kids, house and a dog, and pretty good ears that I can listen to all other great players, so it could be a lot worse 🙃
