What CC skills are you using? PvP isn’t just about damage but actually CC. I love this weapon combo but for PvP it just lacks behind my xbow/dagger spec.
Yea I agree with @humaster This weapon combo will shine if you play it as a nuker in your group. Your tank goes in and CC the enemy while you nuke from as far back as possible. Not sure it would do well in solo play.
Thanks, So the MP on every hit you're seeing is -22, meaning I'm loosing 22 MP. I loose MP everytime I Proc "Mother Nature's Protest" with the "Flame Arrow" Skill Specialization Active. Flame Arrow has a chance to Proc everytime you attack and shoots a fireball that does damage and has the same effect as "Serial Fire Bombs". So if you look at my Mana you can see its going down super fast when I do a Burst Rotation. Its Crazy Damage at the cost of loosing Mana super fast. You can Fill your mana back with the "Inner Peace" skill from the staff and "Mana Echange" from the crossbow. The Heal on every hit comes from Skill on the Crossbow "Rex Chimaerus's Rake Bow" called "Rex Chimaerus's Hunger". It gives you back health on every hit. To increase the Heal by a Crazy Amount I use the "Merciless Barrage" skill from the Crossbow with the "Annihilation Barrage Shot" and the "Gale" Skill Specializations Selected. Doing this increases the Amount of times you hit the Enemy by an Insane Amount! and Procs the Heal on every Off-Hand Hit with the crossbow. So "Merciless Barrage" does a lot of hits really fast and with gale it does a second hit on ever hit so technically it procs the heal twice on every Merciless Barrage hit. I hope this explains it properly and answers all your questions.

you dont have cc other than a snare, you play around people with cc.
