"I brought the family back together like when tommy got the black hand" is a verse relating to the series peaky blinders when Tommy Shelby (Family leader) received the black hand from the Italian mafia. They where all split up due to issues earlier in the series before they received these black hand letters (which claimed war/vendetta on them) therefore he brought family together once again to fight back against the mafia.

@@barrott89 honestly u cant tell me that, cause when i went to visit my friend who lives in a fairly rich neighborhood in London me and my boys (all black) were stop and searched on that road and the reason they gave us was cause we looked suspicious , thats some bs, dont get me wrong im all for stop and searches but i want them done correctly.

I hate when people compare Dave and 2pac but at the end of the day I do see what people are saying. Huge stars in the rap game well-respected but not only rap music in general. Dave was composing music at an early age; he started writing lyrics at 11 after watching his older brother practise rapping at home and he taught himself piano after receiving an electric keyboard from his moms for Christmas when he was 14. They were always musically inclined they always have a message for the people in their music, they're both incredible actors and writers/poets but at the same time they are completely unique

10:20 is a reference to Peaky Blinders in one of the seasons the main character Thomas Shelby and his close relatives reciece a letter in the mail with a black hand on it which is meant to represent a mark on their heads from the Italian mafia. I think Dave is saying he brought his family and friends back together like Thomas Shelby did because the main plot of that season is that at the beginning of the season most of the family hated each other and by the end they manage to reconnect. Or more literally after receiving these letters Tommie calls the family from all over the world back to Birmingham for a family meeting. If you’ve watched the show you would know that Tommie is essential to the family and basically carries the whole family on his back to the top of the world

I’m from London and it ain’t how it’s shown the the rest of the world. The streets are cold here.. differently. People dying here. Kids that be playing football n are approached by olders to run drugs for them. How you gonna blame that kid for saying yes? How you gonna blame that kid when for the first time they’ve got money in their pocket, a brand new phone, and some sense of respect from the olders in the area. How you gonna blame that kid for the rolemodels they choose when they had none to start with. How you gonna blame that kid for what they become?
