I was looking forward to be hearing this show in English. Now that ADV Films is gone, either Funimation or Sentai Filmworks will be dubbing Mermaid Melody or it will never be dubbed.

why the name is mother symphony?
I have no idea, maybe because Rumiko Takahashi (creator of InuYasha) also created an Anime/Manga about mermaids called Mermaid Forest.
