Short Guide on How to Kill Nex with Level 80 Necromancy

I normally don't comment on videos but I need to thank you for making this extremely easy for me, im not a pvm type player and every other guide tries to conplicate things, you kept it nice and simple and because of your guide I did all 5 kills solo and got Torva plate and pernix boots as drops haha

If you’re still struggling to solo her, you can go into an uninstanced encounter with a bunch of people and plow through Nex five times. She’ll drop the item for everyone each time.

This is an amazing guide, I'd like to add something that I struggled with a lot today, even following the advice in the video, hopefully it can help someone who ran into the same issue as me: During blood phase, if you can't DPS Nex fast enough to 80k, whatever you do make sure you kill the blood reavers or at the very least leave them with low HP. Even if you don't attack Nex while she's siphoning, she will heal off of the blood reavers' HP, which means that if you barely even touch them she'll heal for ~15k HP everytime she syphons, which makes that phase practically unwinnable for someone with a low DPS. This made it impossible for me to make it past blood phase and it took a very long time for me to realize what was going on.
As someone who is struggling in blood phase and didn't know she healed off the reavers, you are a godsend.

I attacked the blood reavers and they just respawn when you kill them. I cannot get past this phase.
@@gregwaisso6838that's just how it is, during blood phase she'll alternate between marking you and siphoning, everytime she cycles into siphoning again she heals from the blood reavers' HP or respawns them if they died, if you take so long to kill them that you kill them when she's about to cycle into siphoning again then yeah they would respawn shortly after you killing them. That phase is honestly just a huge DPS check, and I wouldn't be surprised if the biggest reason why he had no problems fighting Nex is because according to the upload date on this video it was recorded a month or two before the necromancy nerfs, if he tried it again nowadays with the same gear post-nerf he'd likely run into the same problems you're having
@@mariomoreira92 Thanks so much for your comment. I'm at a loss as what to do here. RS is just like wow, they cannot leave stuff alone! They are always making things harder and harder on everyone, yet the task for upgrades require the same thing, which is now impossible due to them nerfing the skill.
You, sir, is a true hero. I've tried to get t80 power armour with no avail. I can't get past blood phase at all. Using your action bar is literally a walk in the park with t90 tank. FINALLY got t80 power armour. Thank you very much!!!

Just wanted to say thank you for the simple guide. Until necromancy, I hadn't done any bossing since GWD was first released back in the day and this was a huge help getting back into it for the higher tier equipment

I'm fairly familiar with nex, over 400 kills, but was specifically looking to see if nex would melee during shadow phase while using necromancy and she doesn't. That's huge! normally don't comment but I have to here. Never killed nex before today with any combat style and had no trouble using necromancy for my first time to get 5 consecutive kills for the zaryte fragments! Thanks so much!

Its so funny how trivial necro made nex. I remember struggling to learn nex for the rebounder a couple years ago. Blood phase was the hardest part but once you learn the mechanics and get through the damage check it's easy necro or not. Great video
I had planned to learn Nex for the rebounder, then I got stupid lucky and got the drop after using 5 darts.

@@Eyes0penNoFear yeah if you have the damage to get through blood phase it's an enjoyable fight. I feel nex is the gateway of harder boss mechanic pvm. But now with necro she seems even easier since you don't have to hybrid for kills

I finished the T80 tank task since the generals were easy kills. I just need Nex for power armor. Really awesome guide! I actually have the ultimate that turns you into a skeleton already and I've heard that increases your damage potential a lot.

You can also do it in practice mode and still get the shards from her on a successful kill. Also, if someone has death touched darts, they can use it and anyone who’s damaged her with necro will get the drop (besides the dart user)

You only need to do the majority of the damage of the entire kill with necromancy so you can switch to a different style to get through blood phase if you are struggling

The really really nice thing about Necro is that you get so much sustain from vengeful ghost that you can just take your time with blood phase. It's relatively stress-free and it gives you a lot of time to trial-and-error your way through it. I'm glad this helped!

I actually don't know what's wrong. I'm using the same ability bar, I have level 86 necro using level 70 gear and no matter what I do, I don't have enough DPS to get through blood phase. Compared to the DPS displayed in the video, mine is like nothing and I don't know how to make it better.
When he says stand still at 5:55, he means it! Almost died before i understood that.

Got my first ever nex kill with the t70s… don’t have the zuk cape, used the power armor rather than the tank, and I’m just learning full manual after using revo for years. Oh my lord the blood phase sucked… nex would get back up to 160k health at times 💀 Ended up taking me 9:36 for the first kill 💤 made the t80s using the tank route instead… hopefully those’ll make killing her a bit quicker

Got my Amex kills thanks to a clan member in a duo run. I still don’t understand Nex Blood phase, when to stay, run etc… watching her warnings and checking what I am doing is making me miss things. GWD2 are easier to follow 😂
Had a Nex solo kill but must have been lucky, and I have 90 gear :-)
Been going for the Zuk cape but first had to get my fire cape. Got it after 4 attempts.
Now to the fight kiln. Died twice so far but I should get it right next time or the one after. Just need to position myself right with the 2 Jads wave😅
Zuk cape is easy-> I would disagree!! Never been able to finish it or even go to the last 3 phases. Not saying it is not doable (obviously) but easy…

make sure you grab the invulnerability crystals that spawn. I save one for the double Jad wave, making it a breeze. Generally when I say something is "easy" I mean that it is simple or uncomplicated. That doesn't mean that it's not going to get you from time to time lol, I think I got my flawless deathless normal mode slower than a lot of the people in my discord did. Most of them got it second or third try and I didn't get it until my 7th try!

Nice one! Not a big bosser and was struggling to get through the blood phase. The rational thinking side of me thought the conjures would heal Nex, but now, knowing they don't made it a breeze.
Yeah, it's actually really nice that conjures don't heal Nex and don't reflect damage from Araxxor web, which makes those two fights significantly easier to manage.

the meager 200k LP seem like a breeze at first sight, but there are too many mechanics involved to still make it a considerable boss
Raph, i get wrekked on second prison. Not using tank gear so dont have the extra HP. How would you suggest tanking second prison when powerburst is on cooldown from first prison?
eat to full is your best bet, she disables all of your defensives so that's your only option. Making the tank armor makes it trivial.
@@raphtheboygenius probably will just need to spend the time in getting the tank set... i think i can reso the AA that hits at the same time to keep myself alive.

Great vid :) also You can prevent your minions by attacking or even yourself by using "cease" in blood phase. That way she doesn't heal while she summons due to your damage. Also before blood it may be useful to cease, resummon the minions while she summons reavers. And cast their abilities during her summon allowing even more damage. (Kinda sweaty but meh). Let's you one phase her if done right. Also if you can't 2 or 3 phase her, reset.
luckily, your minions dont heal nex on blood phase at all, it makes the fight really really smooth with necro

Hello! what is the grey crystal, yellow vials and purple vials? Also, what do you have on your Z key? I've never killed NEX but want the T80 so I guess it's now or never. Great vid!
Also, how do you start at fight at 100% adrenaline? I do not have access to adrenaline crystals. Which potions?
Hi, the gray crystal is an ancient elven ritual shard. It's basically a prayer potion once every 5 minutes. It's not required at all and for such a short fight, you can just bring a prayer potion if you want. The yellow potions are Saradomin brews. They allow you to recover HP without draining your adrenaline, so they are preferred food if you don't need to recover a ton of HP all at once. The pink/purple vials are super restores. They're very slightly better than prayer potions while also recovering lowered stats. I think they're slightly cheaper as well.
I'm using the archeology relic persistent rage. You need 98 archeology and completion of the Dagon Bye mystery in order to unlock it.

Thanks man. Definitely helped with my KC for zaryte using T70 power armour. I got cheeky and used some deathtouch darts for Zaros phase...but be warned if you use it too early you will not get the zaryte shard, make sure to get a load of hits in first.
How long should I wait? When she spawns I hit her for about 5 seconds before switching to darts and didn't get the drop.
You need to finish blood phase before darting. However, at that point, you've already done the hard part, so you might as well just finish the kill.
You can duo nex with an experienced friend to make this easier, they just have to let you solo the last phase so you do the most damage. They also need to use a different combat style.
If you do this with someone else who needs the material from her, you'll both get it, regardless of the damage dealt or if one of you dies embarrassingly from a prison 😅 (wasn't me, promise, not at all, nuh-uh, nope!). Can't speak to others who don't need the material though
I get her to 90k but then it just goes on forever like i just cant dps her enough with amy of souls death touch and ring of death book of wen like wtf am i doing wrong

I have tried your tactics, they just dont work. My dps is too crap. She will slowly gain health, than me lowering it....
If it helps, try killing the blood reavers as soon as they spawn. It'll make the fight go by slower than normal, but she won't heal at all. Also, when she says that she needs a blood sacrifice, make sure you surge away from her. If you don't she will heal 10k and that makes the fight take a while. Let me know if this helps!
@@raphtheboygenius problem is she heals from you killing the reavers! And the minions attack when she is immune so it regens her health back.

You both get it! They changed that recently actually.
Fight kiln and killing Zuk easier than Nex at lv 80 necro?
Kiln is absolutely fine at 80 necro. Zuk I would do with Magic/range as you need to do quite a lot more damage than what you have access to at level 80 necro
