It's not about who's got better stats homie respectfully it's about who would you rather have and build around going forward. The truth is rj and Cam are who they are and are closer to their ceiling than these other guys. Not to mention THEY OBVIOUSLY DON'T IMPACT WINNING. The Knicks dealt rj and got better. Cam is the most selfish "me me me" guy in the NBA. Even bad teams have to have someone score a certain amount of points.
@ I disagree. Stats aren’t everything but they are something. The Knick’s got better because they got a better fit in OG. Not because RJ or IQ were bad. Raps also got better with RJ than with OG. It was a fit trade versus necessarily a skill trade. Cam is a volume scorer but he’s still pretty efficient. A guy like Eason is easier to find than a league average 25ppg player. And I love Eason don’t get me wrong.
@ I think you underrate Cam. He’s a volume scorer sure. And he’s in a great situation for volume scorers. But he’s also very efficient this year at 60.6% TS. The league average is 57.4. So he’s actually been an efficient high level scorer. What team doesn’t want that? The rockets sure could use him over green I’ll tell you that much.
@@AsianDoug first off...granted you're right about the rj trade and I agree with that in terms of the fit but the bottom line in that deal is og is better than rj and IQ as a duo if youre trying to win now period. Second...no I'm not underrating cam. I know what he is. Everyone does. A volume scorer who's small can't guard ANYONE and will be targeted relentlessly in a playoff setting and on offense in a playoff setting HES NOT GOING TO BE THIS GUY in terms of numbers period. I like his game. I hope he gets paid this summer and there's always a place in the NBA who can flat out get buckets but lets slow down he's never going to be a guy you can build around and EASON HAS KAWHI written all over him in terms of his ceiling but he can help EVERY team in the game right now and if he doesnt hit his KAWHI style ceiling HES STILL AN ELITE ROLL GUY. I just don't understand how in the world you think a small defensive liability volume scorer is more valuable than a two way 3 and D guy with star upside. It's insane to say out oud and I don't have a horse in the race I'm a laker and grizz fan. Lol what are we talking about here it's insane to me.
@@xavierjohnson4496 Nah slow down on the Eason/Kawhi thing. Kawhi is Kawhi cuz he could be a DPOY and a #1 option. Eason has flashed absolutely 0 #1 option skills. We said the same thing about OG and Barnes in TO. And I think we'd take both those guys over Eason, right:? It depends on the team. The Raptors for example would much rather have Cam Thomas than Eason. We need that #1 type option because we have guys that can defend. Same thing with Houston. They NEED a guy that can just get buckets because none of their guys are really bucket getters. Lakers on the other hand would rather have an Eason because they need a stopper. Grizz have Bane and Jackson, so imo they'd probably prefer a guy like Cam off the bench to takeover for Ja. I guess we're coming at this from 2 different angles. You're thinking more of who you would add to a championship type roster. In which case, you want an elite role player since you already have your #1/2/3 type guys set. I'm thinking in terms of a rebuilding team, who would they rather have to start a rebuild (like in the Raptors case). If I'm the Lakers or Grizz, I'd rather have Eason, probably (Grizz basically have the short version in Smart). But if I'm the Raptors, I'd probably rather have Cam. Different teams, different needs. My point is though, that a high volume scorer who is actually ABOVE average is a rarer commodity than a defensive player with upside. I mean hell, we have a couple of those guys on the Raptors in Barnes and Agbaji and I don't think either of them will even become Kawhi level.
I respect that no one on this pod had the same idiotic take as Tim Legler who actually said that there is no way Chet Holmgren could be a No. 1 scoring option for an NBA team. I respect everyone's right to a difference of opinions but you had better have actual takes that make sense. Does anyone honestly think that if a team was built around Chet, he couldn't average 22-23 ppg? He simply doesn't need to put up volume on the Thunder. It doesn't mean he couldn't be an upper tier scorer if he had to.
Personally i would not have Jalen Green on this list. He is shooting 39% fg and 32% 3 pt. And his career averages arent much better. He has not improved at all from his rookie season. Just more volume. Thats it. He is an inefficient chucker. They would be better off having Jordan Clarkson or someone of that ilk. Same arch type of player. But cheaper.
Jordan Clarkson is 32 and doesn’t play defense. Jalen Green is only 22 and stepping up for the Rockets in big moments. His ceiling and floor are high. 41 and 7, 60%FG, 66% from the arc vs Philly a few days ago. Clutch defense. Clutch FTs. Jalen Green slander will no longer be tolerated, folks.
Bruh the list is about potential not who's ballin right now. Look at what Jalen did last year post sengun injury he proved to be what he was thought to be. A dynamic athlete and scoring threat.
@@sjchacBoth are chuckers. One is efficient. The other is not. Oh, and one gets paid WAY more than the other. Cam all day everyday. Not even close. This is why i disliked Green before his draft even happened. I did not see it with him.
@WheresWaldo05 "both are chuckers" lol Jalen Green is a three level scorer, has a greater faster more explosive archetype and has been extended by the rockets and is on the list of top 25 under 25. Yes he's paid more because the rockets believe in his potential while the nets don't believe in cam Thomas's
Castle 100% needed to be on this list. He was the only player personally i saw for sure as a someday all star player out of this class. Doesnt mean there wont be others. I just dont see it from my angle.
he absolutely does not deserve to be on this list yet lmao you can't project into the future off a 20 game sample size of 11 points 3 assists a game on 38% shooting. Need to see more before he's even in the discussion for lists like this.
@82394mike This is not up for debate. This is MY objective opinion of a subjective subject. Go away now. I did not ask for nor care for your rebuttle in any capacity.
Those dudes somehow are forgeting that last year when lakers did have good supporing cast - Caruso, KCP, Schroder, they still end up 7th in regular season and lost in 1st round. So yea they are on theis 3ed coach and supporting cast at the moment, and all this time they still end up play-in team, so maybe the issue is not "supporting cast" or "coach" or whoever else, but those who were there all this seasons - Lebron and AD. And imo the issue is Lebron not that dude anymore, and AD never was and never will be that dude.
Barnes is better 2 way player than those guys you put above him. Put those guys on the current Raps team and tell me how many gms they win. Basket ball is more than #'s. SB is winning kine ups w 4 rookies. Get back to me when Chet, JDub & Paolo can do this.
I legitimately don't understand why they keep Bontempts on this podcast (I would like to say that I think he is a great baskeball reporter, but he has no business being on a podcast). This is like relatives arguing politics at Thanksgiving level ick. I wanted to see the 25 under 25 rankings, and now I'm sorry I watched. I love Windy and want to support him, but this thing makes me sad.
The Lakers are great at playing at home and beating bad teams. 5-8 against good teams and 7-1 against trash. 7-3 at home 5-6 away. When you build your team around an old player LeBaby this is what you get. He can't defend now so anything he gets you he gives up to the other team. If AD wasn't playing great the Lakers might be one the worst team in the NBA. AD has been the reason they are winning.
Zion is not going to achieve anything, sadly. We've probably seen the best of him already. Like Blake's career, but not as high and even shorter. Real pity considering his talent... Jalen Green is the same player he's been since he joined and doesn't play winning basketball. I'd replace Green, Zion, Coulibaly on the list. Also, 2021 draft is so strong.
The overhpye on Magic's guys is diabolical. Paolo is a volume scorer who takes tough shots. His playmaking & decisiin making are questionable. Not a good defender. Not versatile. Franz a play finisher and not a good creator. Magic's record is more due to the defense & soft schedule. Last night that D was bad & got run off the floor . The final score did not do justice how terrible they were.
Paolo is the modern day version of Melo. Franz...listen, I like Franz, he's good. But he's putting up the same numbers as RJ Barrett with 1 more steal a game. He's 1 year younger than RJ. How is that the difference between being top 5 under 25, and not even making the list. LOL. The media narrative is strong here....

Bontemps lmao LeBron isn't awesome because he's averaging 22,8,8. Keep in mind he gets calls no one else gets and plays to get stats.
Haliburton is overrated dudes not better then Maxsey or Lamelo
I swear some times it looks like he has no idea how to play organized basketball haha
or scottie
I respect that no one on this pod had the same idiotic take as Tim Legler who actually said that there is no way Chet Holmgren could be a No. 1 scoring option for an NBA team. I respect everyone's right to a difference of opinions but you had better have actual takes that make sense. Does anyone honestly think that if a team was built around Chet, he couldn't average 22-23 ppg? He simply doesn't need to put up volume on the Thunder. It doesn't mean he couldn't be an upper tier scorer if he had to.
yall in the comments have no idea how good scottie is lmao
Could watch 3 hours of these dudes daily
Eason should absolutely be playing over Brooks and Green. Give the man 30+ mins already!
No cam thomas who is objectively better than jalen green is crazy
At this point I think people just be glazing him for his swag
Lol no he's not. They trying to trade him
@@sjchacBoth are chuckers. One is efficient. The other is not. Oh, and one gets paid WAY more than the other. Cam all day everyday. Not even close. This is why i disliked Green before his draft even happened. I did not see it with him.
@@WheresWaldo05cam is a less talented version
Shaedon Sharpe disrespected again, clears Bilal Coulibaly and Jalen Green
Windy looks so sad. His meal ticket isn't coming through. And we can see how much he benefitted from that over the years, in his face.
Barnes is better 2 way player than those guys you put above him. Put those guys on the current Raps team and tell me how many gms they win. Basket ball is more than #'s. SB is winning kine ups w 4 rookies. Get back to me when Chet, JDub & Paolo can do this.
Paolo > Chet elite number 1 offensive option is superior to high end defender who's an offensive role player that's also already had 2 major injuries
Jalen green over Herro is absurd
The Rockets are the next OKC. Wemby will have a hard time winning soon with those teams in the West...
How is Zion still on this list? lol
Tatum STANS pretend he's forever 21
🤣🤣😭😭😭🍼🍼🧂🧂🧂
Giannis is as good a PLAYMAKER as Jokic? He’s as good a PASSER? Perkins is a moron.
Scottie a little lower than he should I think. He's been cooking since he put on the glasses.
The rockets are a prime example of fools gold. If they don’t land up in the play ins at best I’ll eat a shoe
No Cam Thomas....
His defense is awful and not a great playmaker but he has an argument to be on here he is a bucket
@@bkelly625 If Jalen Green is on there then Cam should be too. Either both or neither
@@Shortballa11 I disagree with Green being on the list he’s way too inconsistent
@@bkelly625 I agree with that.
What’s with the Jalen green hate
The Lakers are great at playing at home and beating bad teams. 5-8 against good teams and 7-1 against trash. 7-3 at home 5-6 away. When you build your team around an old player LeBaby this is what you get. He can't defend now so anything he gets you he gives up to the other team. If AD wasn't playing great the Lakers might be one the worst team in the NBA. AD has been the reason they are winning.
Bontemps is the idiot who put scottie barnes @ 11
zion williamson doesn't look like under 25
Windy probably just needed to take a whiz there at the end. all good
Bronny James should be #1.
DENI AVDIJA
Zion is not going to achieve anything, sadly. We've probably seen the best of him already. Like Blake's career, but not as high and even shorter. Real pity considering his talent...
Jalen Green is the same player he's been since he joined and doesn't play winning basketball.
I'd replace Green, Zion, Coulibaly on the list. Also, 2021 draft is so strong.
the ending lol! adios amigos
And no one talks about the jazz and all this i believe jazz has as many
rj barrett is under 25 n shud be there over someone like coulibaly
Rockets should trade for Devin Booker, win win for both teams
That's who they want but Jalen Green and FRPs ain't getting Booker, let's be real
I’d take RJ over Zion
I just wish bontemps was gone
They pushing for Derrick white in the east but it’s the east so whatever
hali been trash this year, no way he should be that high
1- 5 is terrible
LaMelo > Hali
I don’t understand what LeBron is doing still playing. Is he trying to be better then MJ
Still stackin accolades that will be tough for anyone to catch. Next best thing since his peak couldn't touch Jordan's peak.
Watch them vote Jalen W over Ja morant for allstar they weird
Why are they aloud too talk about basketball when they can’t win against my 6 year old son -_-…1 should b reviewing food n I’ll jus stop….
what the hell no scottie barnes?!
They have him at 11. You shouldn't be surprise. Anything to do with Raptors & its players are often not highlighted positively by ESPN & U.S media. This
Oh windy wants to increase the amount of all stars? Because poor wemby won’t make it. P****
Zion hasn't improved in any area
Lebron's wife must be so annoyed, by all the times Lebron wakes up screaming, from a nightmare where MJ is laughing at him.
Halliburton is not better than lamelo, lamelo averaging 30 7 5 this year gtfoh!!! But I will say lamelo is always hurt so I guess that lowers his rank
Brian at the end, curtly: "yes, you keep saying that!" Also Brian.... 25:54
Bontemps: They traded Gordon, Vuc, and Fournier at the same time.
Brian: "The Vucevic trade was in March of 2021-"
Bontemps: "-and that's when they moved Gordon and Fournier all at the same time."
Brian: "Yes, uh, it was the trade deadline that year, it was a weird, COVID-impacted year, obviously - they traded, uh, Vucevic, uhhh, Fournier, and, uh, Aaron Gordon, in that, uh, stretch there."
This was cut out from the youtube version. Bontemps is the last person that needs fact checked, especially not by Windy. But Brian stares at his notes instead of listening and then comes back and says something all the listeners just heard. Does it often.
