By the time you powered your wifi extender, it should be available in your wifi settings just like 1:28 . You should be able to find your wifi extender name in your wifi configuration card. You can try restarting your device (phone/ computer). It will be better if you use your computer to do the wifi setup.
Try placing your wifi extender somewhere not so far from your router or you can try avoiding interference from other wireless devices. I think that'll help. The best choice is you connect your extender with a lan cable from your router to the extender.
@@nivedgs5802 Hmm…I'm not a technician but…my guess is there might be some faulty components after the power cut incident. Here are the 2 methods you can try. You can try to connect through Ethernet cable from your router just to test things out. If your extender works while using Ethernet cable but not the wireless method, then I highly doubt there might be faulty components inside the wireless module. You can also try to reset the settings you've made through the d-link website just for a system refresh. If both methods doesn't work, you might need to claim your product's warranty. (It's a 3-Year warranty for me)
@@merriaj3151 I see, you may try this diagnosis step to ensure your repeater is working fine. 1) Place your repeater near router, make sure it is linked to the router and connect your device to the repeater. After that you may test the speed of your repeater. If the internet speed is around your network service provider subscription speed. Then your repeater is in good condition. Otherwise repeater faulty. 2) Try picking your repeater a nice spot around your house. Noice spot can be: -Higher place -Open area, not closed area -Away from electronic devices that emits digital signal waves -Not too far from router, ( your repeater's distance indicator should be at the middle) Hope this helps you at least a little bit ^^

I use Ethernet cable too because I found repeater connecting wirelessly can be unstable sometimes😅
If you've followed the steps in my video and key-in the exact information provided in your configuration card but still doesn't work. Perhaps you should contact the d-link service department for guidance because it should be working by leaving the password blank ^^'
If your wifi router and booster are in sync, aka (Just finished the setup process). Then the wifi system in your computer will automatically disconnects from the booster. In that case, you need to re-connect to your booster again. As shown in 2:41
If you've tried re-connecting to the wifi booster and it still doesn't work. You can try logging in to your d-link wifi login webpage (Link in the configuration card) to check whether your wifi booster setup process was done successfully or not. IMPORTANT -Make sure you're connected to a network before logging in to the webpage. :D

Hi! I purchase the same model as yours but i couldn't find the wifi on my device. How is it so?

Same situation
Bro mine blinks red but after that it becomes green is that ok pls help
If it blinks red, it means the extender is not connected to anything.
If it is green, it means it is connected to a network.
Could it be... you're connecting it through LAN Cable? Because you don't have to do all the steps if you're using Lan cable.😁
@@jasonhan4791 no I didn’t use a lab cable but thx I am trying to do ur steps again
Hello. Are you from Taiwan?
Nope
Thankyou sir! I followed your tutorial and it works! Thankyou again 😁
I am happy to help! 😂
does it get a lot faster if the wifi extender has an ethernet cable connected ?
Of course! It works the best if you connect it with Ethernet cable. You'll get lesser ping and more consistent wifi speed
So ethernet from extender connect directly into laptop right? Not extender into router?
Thnk you for this video
