Im excited for this too, but I think it may have an adverse effect. I feel like from 11.7 and up in sim, if there is 2 or 3 attackers, ground targets feel limited, excluding targeting airfields bc of air to ground weaponry being so effective already. They definitely need to rework Sim ai and targets.

I love how there are some people who are unhappy that the f/a-18 is not coming to the US as if they already has the best jets in game already
The issue is that the Hornets are planes that should've been added, especially before AESA radar Euro Canards
The F-18 is literally worse then the F-15C, it had nothing to do with people wanting a "broken" new plane. The F-18 was already going to suck, now it is just completely DOA.

I believe the SBU-54 is IR when perfectly tracking a moving target but if the target lock is lost it just acts like a GBU and goes after the last known coordinates, I’m not sure though
yeah that's what IOG in weapons means, (internal ordinance guidance)
every AASM has IOG + GPS built in (besides the GPS only version, it has just gps lmao)

POI from map is such a big QOL change. No longer do i have to spam in sim the select base button. Now with gps guided bomb it will be like: Go somewhat high, click on map, drop a couple, click the other spot, drop a couple, go back.
Now we just need FnF Brimstone missiles.

It's bugged because of the fuel weight, it's always set at minimum independently of what you choose. At full fuel load it's more than 1 minute quicker in the zero-to-Mach 1 acceleration than what it should be

yes like 6 micas em 2 magics.. like now it just feels like a downgrade from the mirage 2000 since micas are short range and i rather carry more missiles

They instead should've added buddy lasing/target painting. Both player & ally get a kill score. The it quite unintuitive, they should add a click and hold to drag the map, 2nd the map shouldn't move when zoomed in, 3rd double click for attention to point, single click for SPOI, and also add a right click and you get a drop down menu with SPOI and attention to the point.

Rafale cannon should have a higher fire rate, it should be at 2500 shots per minute while it’s at 750 shots per minute in game, like the Tiger HAP/HAD

on half of the maps if you move you are dead
Brimstones are mid anyway. Too slow and laser guided and can be shot down.

Hey Hunter, hope all is well. I test drove both and I am going for the Rafale with the Hammer SBUs. Micas are excellent at close range and aim-120b are better in the long-distance department. Also, it handles like a dream. What a beautiful Aircraft. The Eurofighter its Awesome too. But Rafale it's the way to go. Hopefully they would not change it too much before the live server. Hammer bombs are a dumb bomb with a guidance and a propulsion kit attached. It allows for high of boresight firering (>90°) and very low altitude firing (you will get like 15km range flying at 100m basically). Is it modeled ingame ? Rafale also has the very advanced spectra EW suite, is it modeled in some way ? What about IRST like Eurofighter's Pirate or Rafale's OSF ? No MICA-IR either ?

Hello, performance is great now, but some people are crying and want it to be nerfed, maybe it will change in the live update.
Won’t the POI make Brimstones kinda strong in GRB?
You can use the ground map to set POI on the enemy spawn if you know there’s a SAM there, then launch when you’re in range without having to go above terrain cover, only being visible for the last 10-15s while you find and lase whatever’s there
The feature is fantastic for sim pilots, but the targeting pod still being limited to 20km when moving the mouse is going to get annoying real fast. If we can override it by using the map, the POI that the targeting pod is looking at should stay, regardless of range
I just want a right-click on the map for POI and don't need to click on the bottom right to use it.
Hey hunter. I was thinkig if you could revisit the control settig, and kinda an exemplary video of it. after the update drops. like how you reset things(targeting pod, ir lock, etc..), and something like that.

My question with the new pin point change, wich is Great for teamplay with friends, it would be better to start from an airfield in ground rb isn it? When u Start from the airfield you can get more Range to the battlefield without beeing derected or am i wrong with my thoughts?

The contract is announced in July, 5 months ago, and the Luftwaffe intends to acquire 274 Brimstones. I guess the contract announcement was enough for Gaijin to decide giving Brimstones to Germany. Specially Germany stayed too long without a proper multirole modern jet.

AASM are supposed to hit their target at a 90degree angle (that’s why they’re called hammer i guess) you can watch it on videos of the war in Ukraine

Everything my friend, speed, maneuverability, air to air & air to ground capabilities as well, but at higher BR, Tornado is 11.3 which will stay very good in 11.3 lineup, it will rarely see Pantsir S1 and it will never see the spam of Fox 3s.

They are identical outside of smokeless engine in 9m
aim9m is smokeless , aim9Li leaves a smoke trail both are same otherwise

Sure, Eurofighter is available for Germany.
The game doesn't need to be called War Thunder anymore it should be called Air thunder for all the CAS elements they are putting in. They are making it pretty difficult for ground battles and no way to really counter these things.

@@samkim8703 No not really, I would rather have far larger ground maps with some cover or places to maybe survive a little while. Better SPAA for all nations that can reach the aircraft and have them fix the ridiculous stupid missile mechanics on SPAA's. But mainly I want far far larger ground maps with more cap points so everyone isn't fighting on a single city block, spread the battlefield out especially for modern tanks.

@samkim8703 all one death leavers should be heavily penalized, more often than not when they leave after 2 min all it does is screw the team over.

Let's be honest, how the new guys even reach these aircrafts? The top tier is a joke one minute you take of you die instantly from Aim-120 or phoenix or R-77. With a newbie you dont even have BVR in most aircrafts if I am correct...you know who wold play with this?
