My frustrations with the pricing on hard cases for Tamagotchis on online shops had led me here. And boy, does my smooth brain needs a lot of learning to understand this. I do want to start learning this cos it seems like I'll be able to save a LOT in expenses if I make my own nifty cases.
I have a hard time buying the prefab cases too. Crochet is pretty much just a few stitch types then it’s combining them in different ways to make all sorts of patterns. It’s pretty fun once you have the basics. 😊💕
thANK YOU SO MUCH i took a break from my tamagotchi for a few months and completely unrelated to that, picked up crocheting as a hobby! now i turned on my UNI yesterday and though to myself "might aswell give that a try"! and with the very basic crochet knowledge i gathered and your amazing step by step tutorial, i was able to finish my first case! i feel like either i diddnt have enough tension(my first tries literally started curling inwards on the first few rows bc i naturally have high tension, i had to force myself to chill a bit HAHA and now i diddnt have enough tension) or my hook wasnt the righ size bc it turned out just a bit too big :D but now i know that this project really isnt that difficult and i can always give it another try! for now my tama is safe in his little wonky case! Thank you!
🎉 Yay! Congrats on making your first case! I'm so glad the tutorial was helpful. Once you know the basic structure it does make it easier to get the size just right. I'm also bad with tension, I always make it really tight. 🥲 It is nice to know your tama is protected though just that extra bit once you have the case for it. 😊

It will. You may need less stitches or rows depending on how thick your yarn is. You can adjust by using a smaller hook also. I have another video tutorial on how to use thick chunky yarn to make a Tamagotchi case. It’s for a Tamagotchi Connection but I talk about how to adjust as you go along so you can get the perfect fit. That might also be helpful to you. 😊
I want to make this as a gift for someone but I dont have a tamagachi to check the size. Do you have measurements for the end result? Great video, thanks for sharing :)

I'm so sorry, I hope I'm not too late getting back to you. The widest part of the uni is 2" wide, 2 3/8" tall and 11/16" deep. I hope this helps! 😊
