    Awesome....used this technique on a stripped screw (one of 8) holding down a sprinkler indexing valve. Saved me $65,00 for a replacement part. Thank you.

    Thank you OG! This worked on helping secure the platic grill covering the hot tub jets. I guess over time with the heat the platic might've expanded. Thanks again.

    You helped me fix my soldering iron casing with this method. I didnt use a cable tie as the hole was so small, but cut a bit of plastic from a 3d printed shim i had laying around. Thank you sir

    Good tip, then an advert kicked in about British trains , saying dreams start here, well it’s been my experience that all dreams end if you travel on a British train.

    If it's a really small hole, and the zip tie makes it difficult... you can also use a plastic drinking straw, like from McDonald's or wherever. Thinner plastic, makes it easier to use this method, probably not as much holding grip, but for a really small screw and hole... probably don't need a ton of holding power.

    One question, but just for a double check, can you unscrew the screw after this? Probably yes, but better be safe than sorry, I need to fix my splash shied and If that works, man you are a life saver

    • @OGs_Playground
      @OGs_Playground  Рік тому +4

      Yes that works with no issues. I imagine if you had to do this several times, simply inserting a new piece of plastic in there would do the trick as well.

      I bet solder is pliable enough to conform to the threads. That may work even better.

      @@OGs_Playground yes, it's called getting a tap but you're obviously a horrible mechanic/hack who just doesn't know any better. Oh well, hackers gonna hack.
