Will Johnson is as Michigan Man as any Michigan Man could be. He brought the university its first natty in forever and was a key reason that a lot of guys came to the university and will continue to be (Shamari Earls). If he had sat out this entire season he was a Michigan legend and deserves everything he gets. Key in changing the culture from loser to winner. Go blue and go get paid Will. True fans appreciate all you've done for the program.

Lol will Johnson is a huge reason Michigan has a natty. Very unselfish kid! If infact he did sit out the rest of the season you know what, he deserves to do whatever he likes to do if it's for himself and his future. He has earned that right at Michigan because he has already produced enough to last 100 years at Michigan as a player! Ofcourse you draft him. He will be healthy God bless him

Intercepted Marvin Harrison and set the tone for THEE GAME last year. Special player....Definitely seems fragile though. I hope he can stay healthy in the nfl. I don't know of a corner with better instincts.

Exactly! Too many fans are so entitled it’s ridiculous.
Will doesn’t owe any fan anything. Simple as that. So grateful he helped bring us a national championship!
Truth of the matter is, he’s going to go make millions for him and his family.
Why would he risk that to be a “Michigan Man” and miss out on some good money….
To me, he’s a Michigan man and a national champion who has the opportunity to be a top 10 pick.

As a UNC fan, he certainly does develop offenses.. and is extremely fun and can deflate defenses..
I hope with some awesome blocking you guys will see an explosive and irritating run game and also Chip has to be careful on redundant play calls in several series when QBs miss checks on 3rd and mid calls..
But if the Wolverines Defense keeps getting the ball back to the offense .. that's where he thrives and UNC unfortunately struggled with depth and defenses for years now, since 2019 I know digging three deep and even some of our talented defensive recruits couldn't stay healthy since then with Howell and Maye..
One of my best friends was born in Michigan and lives in VA now so I'm hoping we'll take a trip up there and watch the big blue offense catch frequent fires 🔥..

Chip runs awesome mid screen concepts that have a high chance to break for TDs.. especially if receivers like to block, he's got a lot of great concepts and plays and if things are on page and rhythm big plays are living all over the field.. I know Michigan will get the ball back to the Offense so that's really an extra strong suit for his wheelhouse.. run concepts are very fun and violent downhill.. loves balanced approach.. but not afraid to keep working what's working.. being that's my experience as a UNC fan and familiar with the offenses etc he's run.. there's always that air raid blindsided 80 yard bomb chillin so he knows where to put those opportunities and if the line is strong (ours have been rough eh) and QB can make good checks.. offense is extremely fun. Go big blue! (One of my best friends is from Michigan and we'll try to get to a game next year)

I doubt you're going to answer randos in the comments, but how come everyone talking about this is so focused on the run pass split and not the blocking? Because near as I can tell Chip Lindsey runs the same pro spread balanced offense Ryan Day does and Michigan just spent 4 consecutive years dismantling that piece by piece on my TV screen. The Wolverines have been running power with gap blocking since Rich Rod left, and they recruit guys who can block power. Correct me if I'm wrong but Lindsey runs inside/outside zone doesn't he? So where are we going to get the smaller athletic blockers required to do that well and once we do, how does Michigan avoid being soft against the kind of DLines Michigan has been fielding the past few years? I'm not gonna lie, nothing I've seen out of North Carolina the past two seasons made me say "yeah I wish *we* did that."

Great point. I think we’re going to see a blend of Sherrons OC prowess of trench game mixed with skilled throwing from Chip Lindsey/Bryce Underwood. Thats the way I saw it at first. I don’t think Sherron Moore will allow Michigan trench game to “soften” up by spreading out for air raid.

    • @swatisquantum

In other words, Chip Lindsey is bringing more depth in the playbook for a dual threat offense with Underwood. Watch Drake Maye games. Dude was a stud until he injured his ankle. I think Michigan offense is going to be deadly next year.

      @R2W419 День тому +1

This is great analysis I talked about this with my buddy yesterday and we both hoped that the gap blocking scheme in the run game would not be replaced it’s crucial that we blend a passing spread offense with the running scheme we have now which is what I am hoping for I trust Sherrone will not get away from that scheme seeing how successful it can be

some idiot ohio lawmaker wants to make it a felony to plant a flag at horseshit, er horseshoe stadium. seriously. but it'll still be ok to pretend to take a dump on a UM flag during a halftime show. (watch the duh osu halftime show for purdue last month).

Why on earth would you start Warren Davis? The worst of both worlds. He sucks AND isn't your future.

Sounds to me like you’re trying to spit shine a turd. There is nothing impressive with the names you mentioned or the stats. He’s mediocre. This isn’t a Michigan hire. I guess it’s an upgrade from the Old Dominion OC. But this is anticlimactic and frankly just blah. Zero excitement. You could’ve said guess what, Jim Fredricksberg is the new OC and that would get the same reaction…who? Why? Wtf was Sherrone Moore thinking? Did the other top 50 candidates turn us down?

Haven't seen much nc ball the last few years anyone who has please tell me he's not one of those new oc's who run some bubble screens and think they're living in the future
