Totally. Shane was naturally funny and self deprecating while Steve O didn't vibe with him at all and spent most of the hour talking about himself and all the stuff he's done or doing

Yeah this is the last chance i give this podcast. Every episode I've seen is just SteveO talking over the guest and telling the same story we've already heard a million times. It's so fucking bad that he's even addressed it himself several times, but he's so self centered that he'll never be able to fix it

Dude, the episode started with the dog puking on the carpet. Then, no one did anything to clean it up. THEN, after everyone mentioning opening the door for the smell/to let the dog out, Shane, their guest, has to finally get up to open the door. Then Steve-O doesn't bring up Shane's podcast, instead he brings up a podcast that Shane is a regular on as a pretense to talk plug himself on SkankFest. This shit was an absolute mess and straight up disrespectful to Shane.

There's been a lot of 'preaching' to fellow addicts on the podcast and he somehow managed to make Shane boring which is a feat in itself. It's become more "talking at someone" than entertainment.

Steveo asks shane a question, just to bounce off his answer into a story about himself. Then there's that absurd way he used shane's dip habit as a dickish segway for his sponsor? Like what? I was waiting for the 'gotcha' sarcasm joke moment (because it almost sounds like gillis' type of humour for a second) but it doesn't come. I can understand connecting the two, but what an absurd way to word it.
Honestly i've watched a ton of podcasts of Gillis with other influencers/comedians and this by far has the most uncomfortable moments and least amount of laughing.

One of my favorite parts of Shane is how he doesn’t act like standup is a gift from god like alot of comedians do he’s humble about it and humble in a way a comedian should be where he makes fun of the comedy world and it’s eccentricities

Appreciate your perspectives a lot Steve-O have helped me get my first 5 days clean after a couple serious seizures from benzodiazepine withdrawal that stuck me up in the hospital and forced me to take a deep reflection of my true self and how much I really was lying to myself and I gotta say it’s been a rough uncomfortable first days into it but it’s a hell of a lot better than being dead, and your podcast really got me interested in my towns local NA program and I’ve been going for my first couple of times and I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t helped me tremendously much love for you and all thanks for this podcast though Steve-O sincerely. It’s helped me turn my shit around hopefully forever this time!
