Anxiety ADHD and Autism here, and I've actually busted my knee and they literally treated me that way about an actual busted knee and it made me realize how the people around me treat me in general.
Torun Smok I am sorry to hear that, as I aged, have gotten through a cancer diagnosis, etc. health issues, cared for a grandfather who passed of Alzheimer’s, a mother who passed of lung cancer and raised(still raising 1) 3 children, plus dealt with mental health both with myself & my family (1st & 3rd part situation) the medical community overall is sadly under-qualified, unprofessional, & just an overall disappointment. It’s nothing personal with you, I promise. I used to cry my eyes out in my drs office thinking he hated me. He was so rude. He literally told me after my Mother passed & I was breaking out in hives & having panic attacks to “get a grip on my anxiety”, rather than even bother to refer me to the counselor literally 2 doors away from him. He was just a shitty dr. 😑

It really feels like you pulled from your heart and you put all you had into the lyrics. Where you talk about comparing a broken ankle and walking it off to people saying just stop being sad hits home for me. My dad doesnt understand emotion or different mentalities so when I have a freak out he doesnt do anything but be mad I can't tell him what's wrong when I'm in the middle of melting down

Wow 😯 that was awesome. I’m not someone who struggles with anxiety but I have friends that do and I like songs like this because I like to sort of let them serve as a check for myself as far how I interact with others amidst their struggles and what all I take into consideration. I consider myself to be better than most at reading people and being thoughtful of their circumstances but I have learned that no matter the level of thought I may put into things some things are just so foreign to my experience its hard to take them into account or not look over something on the fly that to me would seem insignificant but to someone else is a big deal. The “Limping with a busted knee, just walk normal instead” can definitely serve as a convicting line to those of us who don’t struggle with this in how we interact and what we say to those who do.

even though I personally don't have to deal with these isssues, I know people who are going through this. You also talk about fakers who cry for attention, which is good to address, since these people are taking energy away from the problem. I hope you and other people who have these problems get proper help, since nobody deserves to feel like shit.
Edit: I have also looked at some of your other music and really appreciate the fact that you're willing to address the subjects that other musicians don't make songs about because `it's not happy enough'. Keep on doing your thing, because we really need this kind of music to wake people up

I love the "limping with a busted knee, just try walking instead" line. It really describes it all so well. If you have cancer or a broken leg you go to a doctor, so there shouldn't be such a stigma behind getting mental help either. Just the other day I was trying to convince someone having a hard time that they should maybe talk to someone about their problems, and their first comment was "I'm not crazy".
It sucks that someone can be resistant to getting help because they think it's "weak" or they think it's all in their head, or that they can do it alone..just because I could stitch up a wound doesn't mean I wouldn't goto the doctor to get it done. Well, this kinda became a rant..lol. Anyways, fire song as usual.

Jeez, I haven't cried this much since listening to 'Michael In The Bathroom' (songs that are basically 3-5 minute panic attacks in song form resonate with me, who knew!) This song hit me so hard; I love it though. I've decided to save up money for a tattoo. It's a lame idea but I'm going with it anyway - it's going to stay 'Damaged' with a strikethrough in the text and underneath it in non crossed out text it'll say 'Surviving'. Just as a reminder to myself :)
I have ADHD (with GAD that set in when I was about 4-5 and the Major Depressive Disorder taking effect around 12-13. They aren't separate diagnoses but rather symptoms of my ADHD, I believe). Now I'm told I have PCOS and I might become Diabetic if we can't get it under control. Oh, and even if I do get it under control I still might end up being sterile, no way to know for certain until I'm ready to try for pregnancy... funny how much you don't care about something until you're told it might not happen.
Hard not to feel like you were born damaged when you have four different 'diseases' under your name before you even reach 24. I was hospitalized voluntarily for suicidal thoughts, and the previous year I had a panic attack and cut off most of my hair while locked in my bedroom after a particularly difficult day at school (kids are sociopaths, 'nough said in that regard, I hated them and myself).
I'm better than I've ever been though. Pills aren't a cure but they make it so getting out of bed in the morning doesn't feel like a Herculean level task. I can actually come out of my room and have a conversation with my family. Sometimes they have to remind me I'm being overly negative to get me out of that mindset so I don't keep sinking. I still have a long way to go. Naturally I know mental illness isn't even rare by any stretch these days...
But it's nice to be reminded that there's other people who understand. These lyrics are really relatable; I was diagnosed early (not in adulthood like in the song) but I still feel so out of my depth some days. Just gotta stay strong

This is powerful, as someone who had Anxiety, PTSD and "clinical" depression plus a few other random words (I walked out of therapy years ago and never went back, it was such a sham. I connect with this so much. It's a really good song for people who dont understand the struggle of having these medical condition. I suffer with ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression. I hear that people just say get over it a lot so I learn to not show that in person to anyone, but inside I think about that all the time. Thanks for making a great song

Love this song. Especially when people tell you to, "try to get over it" feels like I'm not being listened to. Part of getting better is venting it out and by people telling you to get over it not only doesn't work but makes things worse by feeling invalidated, angry, and betrayed at the person you trusted enough with the information to begin with. Find your favorite video, I find it sad I love majority of your stuff but this still hits hard because I still feel lost at times. I want to do so much and yet I'm always my worst enemy. The only time I've felt normal these past few weeks have been self destructive just so I don't hurt those around me. I have an appointment on the 7th of March and yet it feels so far away. I need my meds to function and I hate myself for needing them. This video helps me in knowing I'm not alone even though it feels like it every day.
