They are useful off grid, Ideal for your gadgets and a bit of back up. Go on Dave, get a larger one that will power the hairdryer, you will get some& Brownie points for that, hair and Corrie sorted, quiet life! We have a larger Eco Flow, bought it mostly for home and power outages where it could power the fridge, freezer, TV and Broadband router, for long enough. Will be using it on non EHU sites soon, once I have fitted the solar panel when it gets warmer next year, will increase our options on site choices. Neither of us watch TV as such at home, just watching Caravantastic on YT in the main……..😂, often do not get it out when away, then only used for Apps and Rugby. Use a 28” LG and got a 12V power adaptor for it, works a treat off van 12V system and ideal for a power bank.

Hi Dave & Helen, Ref tow cars I have had several Land Rover freelander 2 etc all have had issues.. the recent one wanted £7k of work on it so I did some looking about , great reviews on the pick up which I looked at but in the end out of all the cars and extras for your money . I bought a Hyundia Sante Fe 2.2Diesel. Wiggins ltd edition and can’t fault it for towing. Absolute beast and I get roughly the same mpg as your Kia.

We are looking at choosing a roof mounted solar pannel for our Bailey Phoenix 640 for the occasional off grid and when it is in the lock up to keep the leisure battery topped up. By chance have you covered such devices in any of your excellent videos (can't immediately see one).

Hi David & Rachel, many thanks indeed for watching and leaving a comment. Although we have a solar panel on our caravan I really do not know much about it. Someone told me it was a 100w panel but `I also read somewhere that it might be a 40w panel. I haven't done a video on it (because of my lack of knowledge) but it does keep the battery topped up well when we are not using the caravan (which is not that often lol). Sorry to be no help to you. I use an Ecoflow River 2 Pro with a 160w solar panel which is great in the awning for cooking meals and powering the lights and other digital gizmos. I also have the Ecoflow Glacier that stays in the awning but yours seems great for having inside the caravan. It's not expensive either and has great specifications. If I didn't have mine I'd be into Amazon like a shot, what a bargain :)

Ecoflow now have a Dc to DC auto battery charger. You plug it into your Ecoflow's 12V cigarette lighter plug, and crocodile clips on the car battery. It should work on the leisure battery too. So you can use your Ecoflow as the base, charging from the solar panel, and then DC to DC to top up the caravan's leisure battery. No need to install the solar panel on the caravan this way!

Had 2 of these both failed with error e207 and failing to recharge and second one has just packed in all together shutting down at 50% charge now wont do anything. Returned for refund going to get the Ecoflow river 2 pro, about 3 times what I paid for this but more than twice the capacity too.
Thanks for your comment and for watching the video. Quite disturbing to learn of your issues, I’m not sure what an error e7 is to be honest but it doesn’t sound good. We haven’t used the power bank too much yet but the little use we have had has been trouble free. However we will be going off grid again in 2024 so will be able to give it a thorough test then. Would be handy... can't wait till battery electric vehicles are at a stage were thay can tow a van your size with a range of 200 miles and still have battery life to power the caravan off gride!!.❤️🇬🇧🇺🇦

Reading all these comments I must be the only person who thinks this would be useless off grid. I’ve never been off grid in 32 years of caravanning but if I did I would want to be able to use most electrical appliances that cannot be utilised by this. All you batteries for go pros phones tablets etc can be charged from most modern cars these days so not really necessary. So seems expensive just to watch tv and have a light on for maybe 1 or 2 days. But each to their own I suppose.
I think the last 6 words of your comment sums it up perfectly. I wouldn’t want to sit in the car all night watching tv 😂but thanks for watching.
