I live in Tulsa & have lived here most of my life. I understand that you were just trying to get back to Dallas but there is much more to see in Tulsa than just the expressways. Tulsa is a beautiful city, Dallas is another beautiful city too!
I’m thinking about moving there. Did you see any snakes while living there? I have phobia of them which is why I’m always scared to go to those hotter/desert states
@@hiramalik5493 Tulsa is just like any other place, when it comes to snakes. There are more in the wooded areas, and near the Arkansas river near downtown. But no, they are not abundant everywhere. Just watch your step lol.
Damn, that place was full of crackheads back then. I still remember crack ally by the katy trail. Me and my friends would walk the ally at night to show how brave we were, my best friend got shot in the arm there.
My grandfather was truck driver. Made the trip back and forth, Tulsa to Dallas and back. He died in Dallas preparing to come home! As for me, well I migrated to Dallas from Tulsa. I'm a naturalized Texan now but T-Town is in my heart forever.
It's been nearly 11 years since I left. I've lived in many different states since but I still remember all the exits and streets. They changed the overhead sign post and street lights except for the Westside where I'm from. This sure brings back alot of memories.

@@hiramalik5493 I lived there 20 years but have been gone 11. It ain't any snakier than anywhere else. Just don't live next to the Arkansas River and you'll be fine. Mid Town would be a good spot the rent is cheaper, and the snakes would have to slither through miles of congested streets.
Since I have lived in this area for 45 years. My recommendation is to turn onto hwy 11 west, and follow it to hwy 75 south and it would have made it a lit simpler on you.
Spartan College of Aeronautics also used to be the manufacturing facility for the Spartan trailer that was popular in the 40’s and 50’s. They are very rare and still very desirable today.
Tulsa is easy compared to Oklahoma City where you have to drive 100 or get ran over, stopped going thru there after parents passed away south on 75 from Nebraska!
Oh it's far from easy navigating these roads in Tulsa. You've got to drive through a damn maze of orange traffic cones and barrels, and of course you've got to deal with drivers who won't pull their heads out of their asses. I should know having driven on that death trap known as the BA.
If you like fresh water lakes then Oklahoma has plenty. Some of my fondest memories happened on the shores of them. I haven't been back in 10 years. Texas is more interesting and has a better economy.
This video must have been taken at a most appreciative time, didn't see an orange cone, one. It is not a good representation of my city. I moved to Tulsa, Ok in 1974. I have come to know it as "Orange Cone & Pothole City". The Street Department Employees can NOT spell FLAT or SMOOTH...& at any time, the RAT Patrol will appear, to lighten your wallet. Most of the drivers give you the signal, to change lanes, after their turn. That is a reflection of their intelligence, they are called Okies.

The roads are so quiet. Living in UK I'm used to the roads always jam packed
I am more intrigued by the UFO in the upper left hand corner that stays with them the entire trip. LOL
That's bloop-bleep, he comes with me sometimes, takes out cars in my way with his lazer.
😂
I lived in Tulsa for 10 years (89-98). I loved it. Our place was purchased to build the Tulsa County Jail at Brady Street.

Tulsa's doing Dallas-Redemption-Meme.
looks like a smaller version of Houston
Off to the left at 9:20 is the Circle Cinema, where one of the scenes from The Outsiders was shot.
Have you been to the outsiders house?
Patricia Vidal I did before it was bought and restored. I also used to take my family on the weekends to the Admiral Twin drive-in.
@@TheChoochooboy99 I'll be there in January. It's the first place I wanna visit is the famous house on st.louis street
Patricia Vidal Circle Cinema isn’t too far from there either. Mile and a half maybe. It looks way different than it did in the 80’s.
@@TheChoochooboy99 thank you. I can't wait to visit, crutchfield park too. Thanks for the tips!

Thank you for this. Im thinking about moving to Tulsa and was trying to get a feel for the geography and vibe and this helped! x
This is a terrible representation of the city... most on the north and west side... much more to be seen than this.
@Calvin Smith I ended up moving to Texas 😊
I appreciate this ride through Tulsa. I grew up there and currently live in Dallas Tx.

Im not from either but thats cool glad you enjoyed it

That was an old Ford dealership on the right at 4:30.
244 and memorial
I used to mow that place. It looked spooky abandoned
If you'd gone 3 more miles south on Memorial, you could have gotten straight in I-44 and missed all that inter-dispersal loop thru downtown.
I was there from 1990-1991

ahhh was hoping you'd go to Broken Arrow - no matter, nice video, I miss the place, thanks for posting
As a 15 year resident of Tulsa I think they added those few left entrances to piss people off.
Great video! My bf is from Tulsa
Very unimpressed. Roads are beat to shit, garbage along the whole way. Looks very industrious.. I wasn’t expecting this for Tulsa

Oklahoma is amazing
Nice...enjoyed the ride!
Left hand ramps aren't the norm in Tulsa. There is actually only three (Sheridan, Memorial and Highway 20), and you happened to use one of them.
lowkey look like bosie idaho

"Too many exit only!" hahahaha
I wanna go back...
Dude fix your Squeaky suspension.
Yeah the squeaking was annoying, but I think it's his air ride seat that's doing it. I'd go nuts listening to that! Where's my WD-40?!
Its his seat
My ex lives here. LMAO!
lol
Theres 3 diffrent ways you coulda went that woud have been easier....
Best thing you can do is drive THROUGH Tulsa.
BLOCKED
Win did they redo downtown?
Oklahoma looks kinda nice but would just like to go to visit not to live cause it looks kinda boring
If u like meth then u will love it here
It is boring 🤢
It looks nice and boring?? Explain that one.
