My thoughts exactly. I've only just reached the final area, but it's been fun so far. It's better to have a well crafted but short game than a bloated games as a service mess. The devs at least have a strong foundation to build more content out of. I wonder, have you ever considered trying Monster Hunter Rise? It's very different from a Souls-like, but the Lance weapon has the "Insta-block" move which functions very much like a parry from Sekiro. I somewhat recently saw a highly skilled Lance player defeat powerful bosses with a series of pinpoint parries, and I instantly though of you.
I just finished the game today. I really had a lot of fun, one of the better indies in the genre for sure. The team at OverBorder clearly put their heart into this and I think they did a pretty great job. I hope it does well and we can get a sequel of some kind.

I’ve platinumed the game already because I have no life, but it’s a good game and I recommend it. Great work onbal! This was definitely the hardest boss, at least for me
Played this game's demo version several years ago, never thought that this game will become this amazing. I couldn't imagine that i will get to play a soul's game well done like this, and it's made by people that are living in Taiwan. Amazing parry BTW.
@@davidwestin6345 oh ok so it different for every country I will check mine and tell Edit: it's about the same price for me too like 76 riyals which is close to 22 dollars!
That was so clean! I noticed immediatly you use the same opening move as me haha. You have amazing game sense , the way you use openings between deflects.
While on one hand I really enjoyed the game, I experienced combat bugs so frequently it kind of ruined it for me. Not being able to attack but still being able to claw attack for some reason(for 5+ seconds at a time), the parry input button suddenly no longer working seemingly out of nowhere, etc. That coupled with the play time... I know for an indie company this is a feat in gameplay, but at the same time I enjoy difficult bosses because they're difficult. Not because of mechanical issues. It seems like whatever was happening to me wasn't happening for a lot of other people though which I'm happy about. This all said. The environments were absolutely beautiful. I think I had more fun going through the zones than I did with the boss fights. (Speaking of which, the 2nd boss was probably my favorite despite it being the easiest)
I platinumed the game and I actually never had any of those issues you mentioned. But I felt like sometimes I got hits when I shouldn't have got them because of my dodge or even with parries sometimes, it felt like I had the perfect timing, but I still got hit. But since I'm just human and not Ongbal that might have been also just me thinking it was good enough when it actually wasn't 😅 and I can agree with you on the positives, my favorite boss was mutated odur because while fighting him I realized the combat was a lot like Sekiro and I really enjoyed to parry the shit out of him
Very nice was waiting for this. Very smooth :) Claws were annoying as fuck to parry, had to lock off and run away basically. Dodge only works so much, same with extended parry, and was too lazy to respec. Waste of a talent for longer windows. Super quick game, was less than 10 hours. Still decent. Requires 5 kills off memory for all endings. Pretty underwhelming but really good feature to be able to select no, and repeat the boss fight again. Edit: assuming you didn't spec into longer parry time. Actually looks managable to parry, the talent extends the time the parry animation stays up, resulting in not being able to counter everything. Might have to go back ingame and respec haha. Waste of a talent anyway, mainly liked the resetting of enemy counter as opposed to buffs that extra damage tree gave.

My only real issue with the normal bosses of this game (not including God of the Fools) is that the amount of damage they take from wounds is so damn high. I almost wish the bosses had more health so the fights could last a little longer, because even if you play decent they can be over in less than two minutes in some cases.
Me too. At least it's nice that you can just use the Level Select to go back and replay _all_ past levels, including all the bosses, but things don't get harder or remix enemy placements or anything like that.
