The reason people get sick when the weather gets cold, is because our high body temperature assists us in fighting off most outside threats. During the winter months the world is colder and so, we are too. The lowered body temperature from the outside weather makes us vulnerable during travel and conditions where warmth is not easily obtained. Combine this with people who are unprepared for the winter months, or those who deny the weather is changing who do not wear adequate clothing for the temperature and those unprepared people get sick and spread it to the more prepared
