In an interview jooheon expressed that he wished that his songs would inspire other kpop idols to be more free in expressing themselves musically and not being afraid to be honest. And we know as monbebe that the minute starship allowed Monsta x to start self producing more it’s like their music just becomes better and better and their synergy as a group does too. They’re shining, pun intended.

You can see his MJ references (we saw in Gambler too in his produced title track) from dance to ad libs, his krump dancing which he does so well, his soft honey vocals that carry so much emotion and ofc the aura that embodies him expressed by hip hop, rap.
