The Bible is clear that salvation is by faith alone in Jesus Christ! Genesis 15:6: “And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.” Habakkuk 2:4: “Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.” Mark 1:15: “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Mark 16:16: “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” Luke 8:12: “Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.” Luke 7:50: “And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.” Luke 8:12: “Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.” John 1:12: “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John 3:(14,)15: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.“ John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:18: “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:36: “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” John 5:24: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” John 6:35: “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.” John 6:40: “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. “ John 6:47: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” John 7:38: “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” John 8:24: “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.” John 11:25: “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:” John 11:26: “And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” John 12:46: “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.” John 16:27: “For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.” John 20:31: “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” Acts 2:21: “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Acts 5:14: “And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)” Acts 8:12: “But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.” Acts 8:13: “Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.” Acts 8:37 (8:35-38): “Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. 5 Simple Questions Every Genuine Grace Preacher or Teacher Should Be Able To Easily Answer Here are a few simple questions you can ask your pastor to see exactly what he believes about salvation. If he doesn’t have salvation correct, I reccomend finding another fellowship that does:-) “Pastor (fill in your pastor’s name), do you agree that a person is saved the very instant he/she believes The Gospel (that Christ died for all their sins past, present & future, was buried and rose again according to The Scriptures for their justification) & and that they immediately possess eternal life which can never be lost for any reason?” “Pastor, do you believe that a changed life is ‘proof’ of genuine salvation or is a person’s confession of faith (that they have trusted in Christ alone as savior) all that is required to determine if a person is a brother or sister in Christ?” “Pastor, do you believe that someone who has trusted Christ alone as savior (who is born again) could ever walk away and stop believing & lose their salvation?” “Pastor, do you believe that the Bible teaches that a born again believer can be blotted out of the Book of Life?” “Pastor, do you believe the Bible teaches that a person must repent of all their sins/turn from sins as a precondition to be saved or that a person must continually repent of their sins to stay saved?” Answers: 1. yes 2.confession of faith is only requirement 3.no 4.no 5.no

The doctrine of reward(s) is a misunderstanding. If we’re in Christ, united with Him forever, it is impossible to receive anything less than everything He has for us. God has freely given us ALL things. All things don’t mean “eternal life only”; it means all that Jesus is worthy of. God’s currency is grace (unmerited favor) before and after salvation. Let our motivation be God’s love and grace not rewards, that by the way, doesn’t existe (plural) in the Bible. Our REWARD (singular) is Christ Himself and the inheritance He will share with all God’s children, not just the “faithful ones”.
The Good News (how to be forgiven for all your sins past, present & future and spend eternity in Heaven!!!) The Good News (how to be forgiven for all your sins past, present & future and spend eternity in Heaven!!!) We have all sinned. (“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23) The wages of sin is death. (“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23) You must be perfect to go to heaven. (“But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.” Revelation 21:27) Man cannot earn his own salvation. (“For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not of yourselves. It is the gift of God. Not by works lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9) Christ died for our sins. (“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2nd Corinthians 5:21) Only BELIEVE!!! (“For God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever would BELIEVE in Him would not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16) “Verily, Verily I say unto you, he who BELIEVES in Me has eternal life.” John 6:47) BELIEVE that the Eternally Existing Son of God, God The Son, Jesus Christ died for ALL Your Sins past, present & futre, was buried and rose again on the 3rd day for your justification (1st Corinithians 15:1-4) and that by BELIEVING He did it for you, you receive forgiveness for all your sins and eternal life the NANOSECOND you BELIEVE which you can never lose for any reason! (John 10:28-30)! You can know you have eternal life. (“These things I have written to you who BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God.” 1st John 5:13) If you have trusted in Christ ALONE as savior, congratulations! He promises you that you will never be plucked from His hand, perish or be separated from His love! Saved by God’s Grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone… FOREVER!!!!
With all due respect, my sins were judged and paid for completely at the cross! Jesus took the wrath of God for me as my sinless substitute and the handwriting of ordinances against me has been blotted out forever! Christ is not going to bring them up again at the Judgement Seat. They are removed as far as the east is from the west. Watch it! That is a near denial of the of the satisfactory propitiation for mine and everyone's sins that Christ endured on our behalf by His blood 2,000 years ago.
Typical exchange w/an unsaved works salvationist Typical exchange w/an unsaved works salvationist… Me: “The Bible states over 200 times a person is eternally saved by God’s grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.” Works Salvationist: “I agree but you have to be obedient too.” Me: “The only obedience required to be saved is to OBEY the Gospel by BELIEVING it (2nd Thessalonians1:8, Romans 10:16). What additional obedience are you referring to that you believe is required to be saved?” Works Salvationist: “You must live out the Christian walk and obey everything Jesus commanded.” Me: “Can you give me an example? Jesus commanded 1000s of different things in the Gospels.” Works Salvationist: “A person must obey all that Jesus taught.” Me: “Have you?” Works Salvationist: “No. But when I fail to obey all that He commanded, I repent.” Me: “So, are you saying that you have to follow the law to be saved? I thought you just agreed with me that there are over 200 verses in the New Testament that state a person is saved by God’s grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone? But now you are telling me that you are saved by grace through faith PLUS your perfect obedience to all Jesus commanded AND perfect repentance when you miss the mark (i.e., sin)?” Works Salvationist: “Yes. Salvation is a gift but you have to do your part too.” Me: “So Christ’s Perfect Blood Atoning Sacrifice wasn’t enough to pay for all your sins and you believe that after He saves you that you are responsible for keeping yourself saved by obeying the law?” Works Salvationist: “Yes. Grace doesn’t give a person a license to sin.” Me: “Yes. But you just admitted you sin and when you do you repent. So why have you used God’s grace as a license to sin?” Works Salvationist: “Well, my sins aren’t willfull. They are unintentional.” Me: “You have never sinned intentionally with the full understanding that what you were going to do was against God’s laws, commands and ordinances?” Works Salvationist: “If I have, I repented of it. But I can’t remember ever comitting any willfull sins.” Me: “Did you know studies have shown you have about 70,000 thoughts per day and if even 1% of them missed God’s perfect, holy & righteous standard, you commit about 700 sinful thoughts per day? Do you repent 700 times per day?” Works Salvationist: “I think that number may be high but I repent frequently.” Me: “God’s standard is perfection. What if you miss even one sin and fail to repent? Does God give you a pass or do you immediately lose your salvation because of your failure to repent of every sin you’ve comitted?” Works Salvationist: “If a person has a repentant heart I believe God still forgives those sins.” Me: “Didn’t Jesus ALREADY forgive them ALL?” Works Salvationist: “Jesus forgives your past sins but we are still responsible to repent for any/all sins committed after we are saved.” Me: “Weren’t all your sins future when Christ died on The Cross 2,000 years ago?” Works Salvationist: “Yeah, but it still only covered my future past sins.” Me: “Isn’t that an oxymoron?” Works Salvationist: “Nope. Makes total sense to me.” Me: “Well alrighty then.”
False gospels verse The One True Gospel of Grace If a person teaches a person must “turn from their sins” (i.e., stop sinning) to be/stay saved, they are preaching a false gospel. If a person teaches that a “changed life,” “sinning less,” or not committing “willful sins” is a precondition for or proof of salvation, they are preaching a false gospel. If a person teaches that “Christ did His part but you have to do your part” to be/stay saved, they are preaching a false gospel. If a person teaches that a person must “surrender their lives” and “make Jesus Lord of their life,” they are preaching a false gospel. If a person teaches that a person must “give your life to Jesus” or “invite Jesus into your heart” to be saved, they are preaching a false gospel. If a person teaches that a person must be water baptized to be saved, they are preaching a false gospel. If a person teaches that speaking in tongues is “proof” of genuine salvation, they are teaching a false gospel. If a person teaches that Jesus only died for the sins of a select exclusive group of people (limited atonement), they are preaching a false gospel. If a person teaches that Jews don’t need to believe in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, they are preaching a false gospel. If a person is teaching that the Blood of Jesus only covers a person’s past sins and that they need to repent of all future sins to be saved, they are preaching a false gospel. If a person is teaching that a person who has trusted in Christ alone as savior CAN perish or be plucked from the Hand of God The Father and The Hand of Jesus, they are preaching a false gospel. The ONLY requirement for ANY person to be saved for all eternity is BELIEVING on the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ ALONE for the remission of all their sins and eternal life! (BELIEVING that The Eternally Existing Son of God, God The Son, Jesus Christ died for ALL their sins past, present & future, was buried, and rose again on the 3rd Day according to the Scriptures for their justification). (1st Corinthians 15:1-4) “For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever would BELIEVE in Him would not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) “BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ and you WILL be saved.” (Acts 16:31) “Verily, verily I say unto you he who BELIEVES in Me HAS everlasting life.” (John 6:47) “For it is by GRACE you have been SAVED through FAITH. This is not of yourselves. It is the GIFT of God. Not of works lest any man should BOAST.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) BOTTOM LINE: If a person trusts in Christ ALONE for salvation, they are saved forever the NANOSECOND they trust in Christ ALONE & CAN NEVER LOSE THEIR SALVATION!!!! And, conversely, if a person fails to trust in Christ ALONE for salvation, they remain in their sins, unregenerate, and UNsaved. It is just as simple as that…
Amen Such a good and true teaching.

Let our motivation be God’s love and grace not rewards, that by the way, doesn’t existe (plural) in the Bible. Our REWARD (singular) is Christ Himself and the inheritance He will share with all God’s children, not just the “faithful ones”.
The Good News (how to be forgiven for all your sins past, present & future and spend eternity in Heaven!!!)
The Good News (how to be forgiven for all your sins past, present & future and spend eternity in Heaven!!!)
We have all sinned. (“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23)
The wages of sin is death. (“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23)
You must be perfect to go to heaven. (“But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.” Revelation 21:27)
Man cannot earn his own salvation. (“For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not of yourselves. It is the gift of God. Not by works lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9)
Christ died for our sins. (“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2nd Corinthians 5:21)
Only BELIEVE!!!
(“These things I have written to you who BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God.” 1st John 5:13)
If you have trusted in Christ ALONE as savior, congratulations!
This pastor agrees with that. Who are you addressing?
Typical exchange w/an unsaved works salvationist
Typical exchange w/an unsaved works salvationist…
Me: “The Bible states over 200 times a person is eternally saved by God’s grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.”
Works Salvationist: “I agree but you have to be obedient too.”
Me: “The only obedience required to be saved is to OBEY the Gospel by BELIEVING it (2nd Thessalonians1:8, Romans 10:16). What additional obedience are you referring to that you believe is required to be saved?”
Works Salvationist: “You must live out the Christian walk and obey everything Jesus commanded.”
Me: “Can you give me an example? Jesus commanded 1000s of different things in the Gospels.”
Works Salvationist: “A person must obey all that Jesus taught.”
Me: “Have you?”
Works Salvationist: “No. But when I fail to obey all that He commanded, I repent.”
Me: “So, are you saying that you have to follow the law to be saved? I thought you just agreed with me that there are over 200 verses in the New Testament that state a person is saved by God’s grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone? But now you are telling me that you are saved by grace through faith PLUS your perfect obedience to all Jesus commanded AND perfect repentance when you miss the mark (i.e., sin)?”
Works Salvationist: “Yes. Salvation is a gift but you have to do your part too.”
Me: “So Christ’s Perfect Blood Atoning Sacrifice wasn’t enough to pay for all your sins and you believe that after He saves you that you are responsible for keeping yourself saved by obeying the law?”
Works Salvationist: “Yes. Grace doesn’t give a person a license to sin.”
Me: “Yes. But you just admitted you sin and when you do you repent. So why have you used God’s grace as a license to sin?”
Works Salvationist: “Well, my sins aren’t willfull. They are unintentional.”
Me: “You have never sinned intentionally with the full understanding that what you were going to do was against God’s laws, commands and ordinances?”
Works Salvationist: “If I have, I repented of it. But I can’t remember ever comitting any willfull sins.”
Me: “Did you know studies have shown you have about 70,000 thoughts per day and if even 1% of them missed God’s perfect, holy & righteous standard, you commit about 700 sinful thoughts per day? Do you repent 700 times per day?”
Works Salvationist: “I think that number may be high but I repent frequently.”
Me: “God’s standard is perfection. What if you miss even one sin and fail to repent? Does God give you a pass or do you immediately lose your salvation because of your failure to repent of every sin you’ve comitted?”
Works Salvationist: “If a person has a repentant heart I believe God still forgives those sins.”
Me: “Didn’t Jesus ALREADY forgive them ALL?”
Works Salvationist: “Jesus forgives your past sins but we are still responsible to repent for any/all sins committed after we are saved.”
Me: “Weren’t all your sins future when Christ died on The Cross 2,000 years ago?”
Works Salvationist: “Yeah, but it still only covered my future past sins.”
Me: “Isn’t that an oxymoron?”
Works Salvationist: “Nope. Makes total sense to me.”
Me: “Well alrighty then.”
False gospels verse The One True Gospel of Grace
If a person teaches a person must “turn from their sins” (i.e., stop sinning) to be/stay saved, they are preaching a false gospel.
(1st Corinthians 15:1-4)
“For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever would BELIEVE in Him would not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
“BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ and you WILL be saved.” (Acts 16:31) “Verily, verily I say unto you he who BELIEVES in Me HAS everlasting life.” (John 6:47)
“For it is by GRACE you have been SAVED through FAITH. This is not of yourselves. It is the GIFT of God. Not of works lest any man should BOAST.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
BOTTOM LINE:
If a person trusts in Christ ALONE for salvation, they are saved forever the NANOSECOND they trust in Christ ALONE & CAN NEVER LOSE THEIR SALVATION!!!!
And, conversely, if a person fails to trust in Christ ALONE for salvation, they remain in their sins, unregenerate, and UNsaved.
It is just as simple as that…
