I like how the movie is addressing many things that are sometimes overlooked in the church especially things like mental health. Another interesting thing that stood out to me was when Akins parents were outside the door. The way their mom was outside,worried and wanting to make sure that the kids were doing okay,I believe that's the way God watches over us even when we are being chastised. He feels our pain and he never leaves us....he is eagerly waiting for us to come out from the refinery as pure as gold...

But I was thinking if we should critically examine the psychiatric factors behind the irrational behaviors of some brethren in the Church, not many people will react maturely like Chukwudi. In real life even the parents of Chukwudi will fly into terrible rage (even if the Church handles it maturely), accusing d Church of subjecting their son or daughter to open ridicule, and eventually d likes of Chukwudi and their parents will move against d Church & out of d Church.
They might even go to social media, twist d entire story, and blackmail d Church.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND ME, I PERFECTLY AGREE WITH YOUR NOTION, BUT WHAT I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT IS HOW THE 'BELIEVERS' IN THE CHURCH OF NOWADAYS WILL REACT TO THIS GESTURE, EVEN WHEN YOU GENUINELY WANT TO HELP THEM OUT.

@@olayiwolalukeman3638 oh yes, I totally agree with you!. Actually my reference to the church is all encompassing (i.e the body of christ). I'm guessing the African culture doesn't help much too. The culture is only recently giving professionals attention to issues of the mind and mental well being. The irony is that the mind dictates many issues of life! But I believe movies like this can help us all take appropriate steps as needed
@@civillove0430 To be honest the movie has also got me thinking in the direction of mental health among people in the Church. And I've also come to realize that the issues affect even some of the people we call leaders in the Church - There are about 2 cases of leaders I personally know: their irrational behavior, their ways of abusing their powers & authorities, and some a normal things to they do just paint dat very clear pictures of mentally unbalanced leaders. But d question is WHO WILL POINT IT OUT THAT EVEN A LEADER HAS A MENTAL ISSUE? And, do some of these leaders even know that they need mental treatment?
So, I begin to realize dat there's a very big issue on ground, and all these prosperity and success sermons (though they are not sinful) are just NOT ENOUGH to solve the complicated problems of people in the Church.
