That feeling when you're actually a normal human in Gensokyo, wandering outside the village at the peak of the night. Suddenly it's so dark you can't see even your hand in front of your face. You're frightened, but then you see a human face, what relieves you for a momen--
Rumia is a pretty scary yokai to run into, really. Even if you were strong enough to stand on equal ground against her, something very few humans can say about even a common yokai, I don't think you could do anything to defend yourself at the hour she hunts. 'Yokai of Dusk' is a fitting title for the amalgamated fear of darkness; I can only assume many humans have gone missing wandering the outskirts by sunset, only for the horizon to fade much sooner than the hour would suggest...
It's really not that bad. Youkai aren't allowed to eat Gensokyo humans. Zun even says threats to eat humans are likely just posturing. Youkai need the fear of humans after all, and since Rumia is notably childish & simple (an idiot) she's VERY blunt with her approach.
@@John_1-1_in_Japanese Is there any canon info on that? As in, yokai killing humans. Because if you mean the Spell Card rules, that only applies to beings who can play by those magic combat rules from what I understand. Which excludes both regular humans and many weak yokai. As in, weaker than Rumia.
Demetori switching to a more djent-y style has been a very positive thing. 0:00 Right from the outset, brutal: 5/8, 5/8, 6/8. 1:31 A familiar melody with unfamiliar, yet beautiful chords. 1:41 This one is especially beautiful. 1:43 This is why I listen to Demetori, goddammit. 3:04 This is also why I listen to Demetori. (And Periphery, of course!) Enjoy seeing beginner musicians get confused. 5:04 Closes with a bang.
There's no 5/8 or 6/8, mostly 4/4 and 5/4 (at 0:33 it alternates, for example) with the occasional 3/4 measure thrown in throughout. The 8th note/16th note staggers make it a bit hard to pick out in the intro, but it's there.
Just imagine this for a moment: Meiling, Sakuya, Remilia, Flandre, Reimu, Marisa, Sanae, and Reisen all armed with a variety of firearms, tearing their way through a zombie apocalypse while this is blaring, with them making it to their escape vehicle piloted by Patchouli as the song ends.
2 years, 23 likes, no answers. Fine. I'll take care of it myself. Because they're amazingly crafted around that. Hell, this one and Pocket Watch feel like they're perfect for L4D2. And Desire Drive is perfect for an anime opening/final battle theme. The only one that falls outside of the usual Demetori format is Cirno's theme. And even then it's amazing in its own right. (Personally though, I don't think I'll ever find one to surpass Septette: Ascending into Naught.)
"A Soul as Red as a Ground Cherry" By Demetori, both metal and classical, also phonk version by another person This Trio is forever in my soul, been listening to them when we went to lake in Summer of 2023. Absolutely dark night, fog lighted up by floodlights, mosquito clouds above water and yellow-red fullmoon on the background of dark pines also covered in fog eventually turning into sunrise and sky turns as red as blood.

Demetori goes hard!
totally beaming in the dark~
Plot twist: All this time Rumia was actually... Flandre!!!
To be honest they do look similar and both eat humans. She honestly looks more like a sister to Flandre than Remilia does.
@@shazam7183 Well, Flandre's hair is blond, and Remilia's hair is... blue? Hum, how suspicious, Remilia's hair is dyed? that's a good explication.
@@sorayazamora6445
Yeah, I’ve seen fanart of a blonde Remilia. It would make sense if she used a glamour to change her appearance.

All I could imagine is rumia impaling her foes in her *"EX Mode."*
Wilbert Well, in a warped version of Gensokyo, where bloodshed is all the characters focus on for combat, yeah. That’s kinda what she’d do. XD
@@ranarelianae524 Dont forget her "eating" session.
Wilbert Exactly my point. Except that would be far more ravenous.
